A new chapter in youth empowerment has opened for Igala land with the announcement of Iga-preneur 2026, a large-scale entrepreneurship and technology-driven initiative aimed at lifting Igala youths out of poverty through free skills acquisition and sustainable empowerment.

The program is organized by Samuel Ojonuba Adamu, a young philanthropist and advocate of human capital development, who has consistently championed youth empowerment as a pathway to economic growth and social transformation. According to him, Iga-preneur was born out of a deep concern for the growing unemployment and underutilized potential among Igala youths.

Iga-preneur 2026 is designed as a 100 percent free annual program, envisioned to run every year with the long-term goal of equipping Igala youths with relevant technology and entrepreneurship skills that can compete in today’s digital economy. The initiative seeks to shift young people from dependency to productivity by positioning them as skilled professionals and entrepreneurs.

For the 2026 edition, the program targets the training of 500 Igala youths across different tech skill areas. Participants will undergo an intensive three-month training period, during which they will receive hands-on instruction, practical exposure, and mentorship from experienced professionals in the tech and business ecosystem.

Beyond training, Iga-preneur 2026 places strong emphasis on real empowerment. At the end of the program, successful participants will be equipped with brand new laptops, a substantial startup support fund, and continuous mentorship, enabling them to immediately begin earning and building sustainable careers or businesses.

The initiative is being implemented under the umbrella of the Igala Youths Tech & Entrepreneurship Empowerment Program (IYTEEP), an organization owned and led by Samuel Ojonuba Adamu. Through IYTEEP, the organizer aims to institutionalize youth empowerment efforts and ensure continuity, accountability, and measurable impact.

Speaking on the vision behind the program, [Samuel Ojonuba Adamu noted that technology remains one of the fastest and most inclusive ways to reduce poverty, especially among youths. He emphasized that empowering young people with skills, tools, and guidance is more effective than short-term financial aid.

Community stakeholders and youth advocates have described Iga-preneur 2026 as timely and visionary, noting that its annual structure and free access make it a rare opportunity for large-scale human capital development within Igala land.
