1.RC officers hang the rank 2LT for 6-8 months while SSC officers 2 years. DSSC officers get the rank of LT when commissioned and wait for 3-4 years to get promotion to the rank of captain.

My thinking is that since the same venue that was used for DA medical and interviews is being used for training presently, other cadres may have to wait till the training is over. What I don't know really is how long the training lasts.
