Don27tiky: I am not in any way supporting his crime but why not give the same treatment to the criminals in the north
Like I said earlier, if you examine the ratio of terrorists/bandits who have killed and imprisoned by the government, together with their leaders, it is more than the ones in the SE. How many IPOB leaders have been killed? Only Ikonso. Kanu and Ekpa are lounging in prisons. This animal calling himself Gentle Yahoo wasn't even killed. He's also going to end up in prison. So what is your point?
Don27tiky: They should free him and negotiate peace with ESN/IPOB. Why will they call for peaceful negotiations with well known killers in the north and arrest their kind in the south. Southern leaders are bunch of clowns only interested in what goes to their pockets.
Never gonna happen. The kill quota of terrorists and criminals by the government is higher in the North than in the SE. No reasonable government will sit down and allow these guys to rest. Negotiation with who? You must be joking.
Omoawoke: But notorious bandits, kidnappers and killers were given amnesty and came out in broad daylight to strike peace deal
Free Nnamdi Kanu!
Certain people can't be granted amnesty again because they can't be trusted. Odumegwu Ojukwu was granted amnesty after going to war with his country. He was even allowed to contest for presidency under APGA. The thousands of rebels that fought on his side and the whole ethnic group were also granted amnesty and reintegrated back into Nigeria. After 34 years haitus, they started again. Ralph Nwazuruike was granted amnesty and is still currently enjoying the millions he collected from his gullible kinsmen. We have simply run out of amnesty for these set of people. So they will face the music for murder, mayhem and malady.
Ttalk: His brothers on this platform can start their mourning in peace
No wonder one of them was wailing so piteously on Tiktok this morning, calling Amotekun a bandit organization and lying that Amotekun has been the people responsible for the attacks in Kwara State. He was spewing so much hate that Tiktok had to bring the life stream down. I was responsible for that though. They have resorted to threatening violence against Yorubas. But we are waiting for them.
One man and his coronies is stealing your common wealth and plunging you into generational poverty, you people are here cheering him on and shouting reform, because he is from your tribe and religion.
Tinubu is not stealing anything. The only thing he stole is your happiness and the ability to gloat, boast, jeer and dominate others with reckless abandon.
Baxilexi: @Reno, it’s not just about ports, but you can put this to the test. Request the FG to close Lagos port for 6 months redirecting cargo, MMIA for 6 months redirecting flights to regional airports, mandate all embassies(which were only situated in Lagos for a longtime) to have regional offices, mandate all banks to have regional headquarters, create law schools in every state. Basically make an equitable spread of all national institutions and then let’s talk about IGR.
Truth is that’s not feasible or profitable, so why I stated the above is to show you the fault in your thought process, there would always be bigger cities, China has about 6 big cities and it is for all.
It is only commonsensical that any conglomerate would situate its company in Ogun state or Oyo state due to its proximity to the biggest port/International airport for cargo purposes. So I find this argument baseless. Dangote chose to situate his refinery/factories in a state that has assess to water for his cargo and not because of leadership. British tobacco is in Oyo, all the factories at agbara Ogun state, same reason.
It’s a shame that in 2025, we are still having this discussion about tribal ownership to a state that all Nigerians should be working together to develop. At what point in our existence are we supposed to align with our national identity and not tribal identity.
Thank you for the offer. We don't need all Nigeria to work together to develop one state. Go to your own state and develop it. Nigeria is a federation with different spaces, politics, people and culture. We do us, you do you. What is hard in that? Go and tell the Scotts to lose their identity for the English or Welsh because tribal ownership in 2025 is bad. Very disingenuous people everywhere.
Armaggedon: he says oyo generates more wealth for GDP which is false if you understand what GDP means. Both Anambra and Imo have bigger GDP than Oyo. Imo has a bigger GDP than all other south west state apart from Lagos, the no man's land.
Generating wealth for GDP is a meaningless economic expression meant to deceive his followers.
Lagos is Yoruba land. Period. You will cry tire. I will ignore the other falsehoods in your comment and address the most important thing in what you spewed. Lagoyis Yoruba land. If you like, kpai.
Why is everyone suddenly concerned about what happens in Lagos? Is Lagos the capital of Nigeria? Things are not ok in this Iguana guy's state but instead of holding his own state government accountable, he feels the need to talk about Lagos. For these hopeless people, hypocrisy is the new normal. Scott Iguana should go and practice his activism at home.
Kalulu44: My friend I beg you in the name of God, don't drag me into your stupid politics of Obi, Tinubu, Nnamdi Kanu and co. I don't know Obi, Kanu or Tinubu. I'm not a politician, never voted in my life and hate anything politics. It's this same politics they have used to poisoned you people against people you have lived peacefully with for years. . See let me tell you once again, I might be born by an Igbo parents. But I am a full time Lagosian and even more than you sef. A place I was born into, raised, school and still work there. Then you that come from Osun or Kwara will come and claim Lagos more than me. It's bitterness that's killing most of you. As for me, I am not bitter cus 80% of my friends, close padi and business partners are Yorubas. So how can I be bitter with such people.
Yinmu!! A Yoruba man from Osun, Kwara, Ondo, Oyo or even Kogi is more qualified to claim Lagos. We are all Yorubas. You're an Ibo man from wherever your parents are from. Your state of origin is somewhere in the SE. Your local government area is somewhere in the SE. You're not Yoruba. You're Ibo. We're not the same. If you're not culturally assimilated completely and become a Yoruba, Lagos doesn't belong to you. Period. Sleep with the truth!!
Kalulu44: And you, were are you from? Iragbiji I guess. I dare you to come to my place in Ojo and tell my Yoruba peeps there that I am not among and see if you won't collect from them.
De wind yourself. See, when the chips are down, those Yoruba peeps you are banking on will turn on you if they notice that you're trying to grab their ancestral posterity. You're Ibo. We're not the same. Period!!
Dalohad: Tinubu's lungs go don black like Mama Risikat cooking pot.
You sure say no be emphysema him dey go France go treat every week?
Tinubu...Baba Oni cigar...
You wey de talk, you never smoke cigarettes before? Is cigarettes illegal? Do you get arrested for smoking cigarettes? Even Jihadists and Islamic fundamentalists smoke like chimney even though they avoid alcohol.
Mitsurugi: So if an Osun and Ondo man can be Governor of Lagos over it's indigenes, what stops an Abia man?
A Yoruba man is different from an Ibo man. Period. It's not that hard to comprehend because it's not rocket science. We Yorubas are the same everywhere. You have your SE where you can do whatever you like. Let your charity begin at home. The day that an Abia man can become governor in Anambra is the day you can start talking to us. Thanks.
Kalulu44: And again about Lagos been a no man's land. They didn't start calling it that today, ystday, last year or even 20yrs ago. I was born, raised, schooled, and still reside in Lagos in the year 1980 even though by Igbo parents. I have been hearing Lagos is no man's land since early 90s I know myself very well and we always laugh it off and it never caused quarrel or rancour between me and my friends who are Yorubas. . So the question here: what then changed now. Is it bcus of social media, politicians or what?
You can't get to decide when a people will respond to the shenanigans meted out on them by others. That Yorubas have been quiet for a long time wasn't a sign of cowardice or ignorance. It's called patience and "giving a long rope". From the look of things, we really dodged a missile by Obi's election loss. One thing I realized is that you people don't really understand the true history of Ibo people in Nigeria apart from the lies and propaganda Kanu fed you with. Yorubas have decided now to respond. Now is our chosen time.
Kalulu44: It's not your fault, your sister by the name Kemi is a full time British citizen and gunning for the highest position in Britain. You see nothing wrong in that. but me that was born, raised, schooled, and still reside and work in Lagos over 40yrs ago and know Lagos upside down more than you do. If not the divide and rule apply by our politicians, I am beating my chest and telling you that I'm more Lagosian than you that come from Osun, ondo e.t.c. . For your information I was born in Ojo local govt of Lagos, and I know the place, tradition and language like the back of my hand. Now back to the obi and Eze of a thing, like I said earlier, I am not in support of it. But we have been hearing that for over 40yrs and no problem. So what then changed now. Do their calling themselves that threatened your existence, change Lagos traditional rites and culture. Or don't they obey your baales and obas in Lagos! You guys are just beating yourself over nothing and a harmless title.
I beg leave story for Achebe. If you like be born in Lagos 100 years ago, you're not from Lagos. You're not an indigenous person. You're not Yoruba. You're just a resident of Lagos. That's the hierarchy of reality.
Beremx: charged for what exactly? What crimes did they commit? What are you afraid of? Why are you afraid of Igbo people?
I don't know why you people from that side keep misconstruing irritation for fear. To spell it out in clear terms, we are irritated by your behaviors and actions. Nigeria is not your father's land. It's a conglomerate of different spaces belonging to different people. Why is that hard to comprehend?
PulaPower: Businessman Isaac Fayose has dismissed the assertion that Nigeria belongs to the Hausa, Yoruba, and Igbo, insisting that the Igbo should not be included in such claims, which he described as false.
He has a point..
E get one thing wey I dey everly talk and that's Igbo are not a majority tribe as dem dey portrait..
You're right. They actually are not. But they're so loud and aggressive about the matter. One can even easily see their attempts to swell their numbers by trying to appropriate other cultures, spaces and peoples.
Ngwamankilyou2: Very proud of that tribe and they can do it over and over without regret even if your family members and you in particular are the main victims.
Kiss the Truth.
And they will keep getting the same results over and over again. Why they've not done it like you are telling us that they can, still beats my imagination. Are they afraid?
