The Academic Staff Union of Universities has commenced an indefinite nationwide strike as reported by punch-newspaper, it was announced during a general meeting.
The National President of the union, Dr. Biodun Ogunyemi, announced this on Monday during a meeting of the National Executive Council of ASUU in Abuja.

He said during the strike, there shall be no teaching, no examination and no attendance of statutory meetings of any kind in any of the union’s branches across the country.

Quantasia who tested negative to herpes, is still suing Usher for exposing her to the risk of contacting the STD after she allegedly hooked-up with him on her 19th birthday. She says she fears for her life and that of her child.

A three-storey building at Egbu road, opposite police station by former fire service in Owerri, Imo State collapsed by 4 am this morning.

The building was formerly a two-storey building before the landlord decided to turn it into a three-storey building. Tenants were still living in the building as at the time of the sad event.

The building was formerly a two storey building before the landlord decided to turn it into a three storey building. Tenants were still living in the compound before it sank.

The building collapsed with tenants under the debris. So far, eight persons have been rescued, out of the eight two have been confirmed dead, while six are seriously injured.

Violence erupted during a planned protest by white nationalists in Charlottesville, Virginia as they clashed with counter protesters who were against the rally.
The demonstration which was tagged “Unite The Right” and said to be the largest gathering of white nationalists in recent years, turned violent almost immediately and left at least one person dead and a number of persons injured.

The riot began with a march Friday night and intensified Saturday morning as hundreds of white nationalists converged. Waving Confederate flags, chanting Nazi-era slogans, wearing helmets and carrying shields, they converged on a statue of Robert E. Lee in the city’s Emancipation Park and began chanting phrases like “You will not replace us,” and “Jew will not replace us.”

This Incident is very much surprising, a 29-year old man has been charge before a court of law for doing something considered to be sacrilegious.Nurudeen Fatai has reportedly committed a sacrilege after he flashed his phone’s touch light at the Oba’s Palace at night in Lagos.

The incident happened at the Oba of Ijegun’s Palace in Ijegun land in the outskirts of Lagos.

Fatai was apprehended and handed over to the police at Isheri Oshun Division who charged him before a Lagos court for the alleged offence.

A 13-year-old girl, Faustina Korankye has beaten her 14-year-old friend, Maa Abena to death over boyfriend at Asamang in Ashanti Region area of Ghana.
The incident happened after the two engaged in a vicious fight over a boyfriend related matter.

A family member of the deceased in an interview with Abusua FM’s Osei Kwadwo disclosed that earlier on, Faustina had stabbed Abena but she survived.
 
The two rivals later engaged in another fierce fight on Thursday evening during which Faustina punched the same spot the deceased was stabbed last month with a hefty blow, sending Maa Abena to the ground.
