Good evening sirs, I was able to book an appointment with my doctor, I was given some treatment all most was pain was down in a couple of hours, my concerns now is the size, it Is as big as an apple and stiff too, it gets easily strained even with a short walk, the doctor said it takes time to flare.

But I want those of you guys out there with experience to share expectations in the healing process.

The question you should be asking is why your government doesn't fund healthcare better so that we have better response times. Like a helicopter transport, and antivenom at primary health care level

But to answer your question, first of all there has to be a good awareness of our natural environment, this will help most snake bite victims to identify and understand the threat level of a snake bite ( Australians do this so it is possible to replicate). A hemotoxic venom can be temporarily localized by using a tourniquet (there are some dangers to it but still)…a neurotoxic venom cannot be localized by using a tourniquet because it attacks the nerves which are located deeper than blood vessels.
The implication of your question is a bitter but important one. Bitter in the sense that without getting quick and proper antivenin treatment specific to a particular venom, death is almost certain. Important in the sense that we need to fund and improve our primary health centers in the rural especially those with higher snake bite rates.

This my fellow Abian died because he believed his forefathers rhetoric. He was bitten by a gaboon viper (see the unique pattern on the snake). He was taken to a well known herbalist. Nearly 24 hours later his condition got worse and he was rushed to FMC Umuahia for them to perform magic. This young man wasted a full day survival window because he trusted the collective ignorance of those around him….I know your next argument will be “maybe the herbalist doesn’t know the right concoction”.

Also, releasing the tourniquet can potentially release a lot of the accumulated toxins into the body with very godawful effects

Sequel to my last thread where I complained about a burning sensation in my testicle area, a lot of persons advised that I go for scan for a possible testicle torsion case.

I went for scan and ran all the possible scan from abdominal to testicle scan and nothing was found. The sensation stopped and I was found.

However of recent the burning sensation around my left testicle started again and sometimes I notice it moves up to my waist area in form of weird pains.

Please what do you suggest I do.

Please I have been experiencing slight pain in my testicles and scrotal sac. The kind of pain you feel when you get hit there but it's slight pain. Now,I feel pain in my left and right lower abdomen. No unnecessary discharge from my penis so I can't assume it's UTI. Please anyone with similar experience or suggestions
