COURT STOPS HOUSE FROM PASSING NCDC BILL, SUMMONS GBAJABIAMILA!

A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has ordered the House of Representatives to maintain status quo on the infectious disease bill which has passed second reading.
Justice Ifeoma Ojukwu also summoned the Speaker of the House, Femi Gbajabiamila; the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, as well as the clerk of the National Assembly over the bill.
Former Kogi-West Senator, Dino Melaye, had last week filed a suit against the National Assembly over the consideration of the infectious diseases bill sponsored by the Speaker.

Melaye filed the suit FHC/ABJ/CS/463/2020, citing alleged breach of his fundamental human right to freedom and life before the Federal High Court in Abuja. He asked the court to stop the passage of the bill.

In a motion ex parte dated May 13, 2020, the court stated, “An order of this honourable court is hereby made mandating the respondents to appear before this court on May 20, 2020, to show cause why the application of this applicant should not be granted.

Former Kogi-West Senator, Dino Melaye, had last week filed a suit against the National Assembly over the consideration of the infectious diseases bill sponsored by the Speaker.

“Should the respondents fail to attend court on the date stated for the hearing on this matter, the reliefs sought ex parte shall be granted.”

Since its introduction two weeks ago, the infectious diseases bill has drawn a wide range of controversies.

Sponsored by Gbajabiamila, the bill seeks to, among other things, make possession of health card mandatory for international travellers leaving or arriving in Nigeria — just like yellow fever card.

Adapted from a similar law in Singapore, some Nigerians have labelled it as draconian and unfit for a democratic Nigeria.

Some of the opposition to the bill also questioned the powers it vested in the Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and the health minister to convert any property to an isolation centre.

The National Economic Council on Thursday ordered a forensic audit of the electricity Distribution Companies in the country, particularly their bank accounts.

The NEC meeting, which was chaired by Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo and attended by the governors of the 36 states, also asked each of the governors to submit the details of their states’ investment in the DisCos.

A subcommittee of NEC headed by the Governor of Kaduna State, Nasir el-Rufai, made the proposal on forensic audit to Thursday’s meeting held at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The Deputy Governor of Edo State, Mr Phillip Shuaibu, who spoke on NEC’s discussions on the Discos, said the el-Rufai committee was given additional two months to submit its findings.

Ebonyi State Governor, Mr Dave Umahi, informed State House correspondents that so far, the governors had established that the Discos made no significant investment in the power sector since 2013.

Umahi said the Minister of Finance/Budget Planning, Mrs Zainab Ahmed, briefed the NEC on the repayment of the N614bn budget support facility the Buhari regime gave to many of the 36 states.

He said Ahmed informed the session that N152m was deducted from the allocation of each state monthly.

Umahi also said the minister gave a summary of the balances in the three major accounts of the country as of February 24.

He said the Excess Crude Account had $71.8m; the Stabilisation Account, N34.1bn; and the Natural Resources Development Account, N101.8bn.

Umahi denied the alleged protest by some of the governors over the depletion of the ECA by the Buhari regime from $325m to $71.8m, saying, “It is not true.”

According to him, all the governors agreed to use $250m as investment through the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority to safeguard the future of the country.

He added that another $4m was spent on consultancy services to save the country from paying almost $500m over some investments the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation entered into on behalf of the country.

Umahi explained further, “We would have paid the consultants five per cent of the cost that they were seeking and it would have translated into $500m.

“So, if you add $250m plus $4m, you will get $254m and if you add $71m, you get $325m. We are back to where we were. So no money is missing.”

Meanwhile, the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company on Thursday said the destruction of its underground cable powering Iyiowa 11KV Feeder by Julius Berger PLC had thrown customers in Iyiowa and Odekpe areas, near Onitsha, in Anambra state into darkness.

A statement by the EEDC’s Head of Communications, Mr Emeka Ezeh, said the destruction of the power line as result of the construction of the second Niger bridge, along Atani road, affected the supply of power to the area.

People appreciate me online and offline in my Church because I'm a realist to the core. I don't act holier than thou or pretend to be a super spiritual person than I am. I don't accept anything dogmatically, and I don't play along to get along. I question and vet everything and only accept after been thoroughly convinced beyond any reasonable doubt. My quest to know what ultimately controls the physical, led me into demonic charm making and using diabolical powers to influence the physical before I later discovered that JESUS Christ is superior to them all.

I would never have believed that demons are very real if not that I've physically seen them before. If it was only I that day, I would have thought I was hallucinating. My friend still recalls where we saw them around 1:30AM while on our way to our girlfriends' house in the dead of the night. Youthful exuberance made us to decide to go and spend the rest of the night with them, but we ended up running and slam knocking their door as if we wanted to tear it down. Even the third legs were paralyzed with fear for a long time after then. We often asked each other: "what if we died that night just because we wanted to feed the idiots' unbridled desires?"
This is one of the major occurrences that proved to me that the Spiritual Realm is very real and helped me made up my mind to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Lord, Savior and as my eternal Owner.

Sooner had I accepted Jesus, I began to pray for the infillng of the Holy Spirit. I love God truly, I needed evidence that HE is real and I wanted to become permanently His. Also, whatever I choose to do, I do wholeheartedly. Whenever Pastors are laying hands to impact Holy Spirit during Church Service, I would run to the front and submit my head to them. There was a particular case that the Pastor's hand seemed to be avoiding laying on my head properly. I shifted my head as if I was using my head to chase his hand until it settled properly on my head. Another time, I went to my seat after the laying of hands and quickly rejoined the que again to get his hands lay on me once again thinking that double impactation would make me shiver and shudder feeling the Holy Spirit for real. Lo and behold, I still felt nothing even after long period of kneeling down to pray when I got back to my seat. I almost ran back to my diabolical ways that guarantees quick visible "realistic" evidences. I thank JESUS Christ for helping me to decide to permanently stay in HIM regardless of whether HE proves HIMSELF or not. I voted like the Daniel, Shadrach Meshach and Abednego who vowed that they shall not forsake HIM even if HE didn't save them from the fiery Furnace. That is the real death to Flesh and Ego that is behind the ulterior motive of many. I became a real genuine Christian when I stopped asking HIM for evidenece. HE then started making me to gently grow to know HIM at HIS Own pace, the sweetest Partner that anybody can have. I now hear HIM clearly, HE now uses me to do miracles and I'm eternally grateful for that.

We thank God for our Pastors that brought us this far, we the new Generation must grow beyond. Many pastors have erroneously make us take Christian Life to be sign-centered and feeling-focused. Many lost their salvation after years of expecting to feel Holy Spirit fall on them, but it didn't happen (it happened without them knowing it). Even many pastors that have endlessly prayed that the Holy Spirit should fill them without getting any answers from God (God answered them but they didn't know) have ended up in herbalist grooves, witches convens, wizards' convens, marine kingdoms in their egoistic quest for power. Satan successfully lured and trapped them to become his agents in the Body of Christ. They are many, performing miracles and diceiving many into indirectly covenanting with Satan. Jesus relentless warned us not to look for signs but follow His Words. Matthew 24:11

He also call those that refused to believe in their CREATOR without a sign the evil generation. Because so many things have already proved HIS extended to Man already. Even Man himself is enough miraclous reason to reverence and worship his infinitely Wise CREATOR.

Strictly based on His prerogative, JESUS Christ still gives His Children power to do mighty signs and wonders, and real miracles still happens. When your Faith in your CREATOR depends on "feeling" the Holy Spirit or seeing a Miracle, then you are not different from those that go to herbalists to help them see! They live by sight, by what the fake prophets, fake alfas and herbalists see for them through demons that enslave them.

Irreversibly focus your Life on being permanently Holy and living according to His Will for your Life His Will for you may not always be goodygoody rollercoaster problem-free like many Pastors have deceived us to believe. Our primary Purpose here is to prove that nothing shall stop or preventing us from loving our CREATOR and doing His Will, even when our personal will has to die for His to prevail. Those that refused to be captured by Satan and trials of this temporary Life shall be rewarded with Immortality. The Just shall LIVE BY FAITH!!! Not by sight or feelings. This is the Life we have been called unto. This is the only Way to eternal Life.

Thank you for your post Reno. People should start understanding what accountability is. The church is accoutable to God, while the government is accountable to you. Nobody forces anybody to give, and if you think you are pressurised, you can keep your money to yourself.Government is formed to organise societies, thats not the role of the church. The only thing the church can do is support, and they are already doing that, but the media will not show the good deeds done by the church. In church, we learn values, that helps us to become better in our relationship with people, which eventually creates a society that is condusive for peace nd prosperity.
