grandstar:
The competition Dangote is facing is brutal.

I don't blame the competition. They have been in the business and can't just wake up and see an upstart kick them out of business.

They would have been kicked out of business had Tinubu enforced the Petroleum Industry Bill which basically ended importation of products into the country by those who had zero refining capacity locally. Dangote tried another means: a 15% import duty on imported fuels but there was an outcry and this was quickly dropped.
Very brutal. The marketers have been importing like mad, which is good for the business.

Wow! I hope this goes across length and breadth of Nigeria so that Nigerians can have a relief for some period
The marketers caused this.Prices have been falling at different petroleum depots. It will spread across filling stations too.
Politics › Re: Dangote Refinery Slashes Petrol Price To ₦699 Per Litre by spencekat(m): 12:43pm On Dec 12, 2025
The marketers are really competing with him via importations and he had to take a decrease in pricing to remain more relevant. November this year and till date have witnessed an influx of petroleum vessels across jetties.

Does the state house of Assembly have any constitutional rights to suspend a duly elected Local government chairman? What then is the function of the local government councilors?
Nonsense House of assembly. If they really want her out, they suppose to use the councillors to impeach her, instead of this non- constitutionally sack.
Politics › Re: Cross River Lawmakers Sack LG Chair Over Misconduct Claims by spencekat(m): 7:28pm On Dec 10, 2025
What did this woman really do?, She was suspended twice and now this. Does the house have the power to sack her? 9ja na jungle. Instead of masterminding her impeachment and let the Vice take her position, those house members are calling for a bye election to fill her position.

Excuse me. Can you stop this nonsense you do where you tag everyone who disagrees as this or that? That is bullying itself and you're not different from the Obidients yourself. Any contrary opinion, you guys find a way to call it names.

While he was singing or performing, Oluremi Tinubu approached the podium and told him to stop the music, saying something like “I’m giving you five minutes to finish your speech; the music is enough.” When he continued despite the warning, she allegedly threatened to switch off the microphone.

The “Office of the First Lady” is not defined under Nigeria’s Constitution and thus she has no legal authority to “order” a state governor at an event. Her office has no formal power over elected governors. From a social/ethical standpoint, many observers from the media, commentators, and members of the public consider her act disrespectful or embarrassing, especially given that a sitting governor was publicly admonished by a non-elected spouse.

This was a breach of good decorum.

Constitutionally, the Governor is not only in charge of the State but in charge of chieftancy affairs through the Local Government Commission so what are you saying? What has Obidient lens got to do with this? When will you accept responsibility and stop making up excuses like a responsible adult?
Aptly said.
