They stopped at the abandoned warehouse north from the preserve. The hybrids didn't follow them since they got out of the preserve but they kept on running. Even at the warehouse everyone kept a distance from him.

"Fred" one of the boys said with outstretched hands ignoring the hermits' disgusting smell "Owen" the hermit replied not shaking the hands outstretched before him, probably because he didn't want to stain those hands.

"Why did you save me?" he asked looking at all of them

"We didn't save you" a boy with a scowl on his face spat "we wanted to kill the person responsible for the death of our coach and our best guess were those beast that attacked you so saving you was just a coincidence" he continued

"Sam" Fred screamed angrily "just shut up okay, now man do you know why those things came after you?" Fred asked facing the hermit

"Probably to kill me" the hermit replied "but I can take you somewhere you'll get answers" the hermit said wondering why he was helping these bloodsuckers.

"I you are going to help atall first you need a bathe" Sam said leaving the hermit wide eyed

CHAPTER 17

"Who gave into their animalistic nature?" was the first thing that came out of my mouth immediately I opened the door

"Woah!!" Lance exclaimed "You come in and that's the first thing you'd say, just go 'nd change your clothes, we'd talk when you're ready"

He said that, It was his call, speedily I changed the uniform into something comfortable

Why do you even want to know? Jenny again I don't have time for stupid questions I heard that I don't care if you did.

"That was fast, anyways about the question you asked only Michelle can answer better she was her girlfriend so you'd have to go to room 150 in the girls building, that's the fif..." he wasn't true with whatever he had to say but I was out of the room already and was walking to the elevator

Why do I get the feeling that you have already fallen in love with someone you haven't seen and besides in most boarding schools girls hostel is restricted to boys "This is you watching my back? Oh Jenny you're distracting me." I got to the girls hostel panting I had jogged all the way from the boys' hostel to this place.

Two rooms away from Michelles' I could hear Michelle and someone else arguing.

"Ever since Mia Lorenzo, you hardly focus on anything, even our relationship Michelle what's wrong with you, this thing happened a year ago, your friends have gotten over it, why can't you?" that familiar voice screamed

"Harry get out" came the firm voice of Michelle, wait did she mean Harry as in the head patrol and just to confirm my guess Harry the head patrol guard came out from her room I smiled, "even tough guys need a girl" I said to myself and smirked at him, he just glared at me and went his way. Then I proceeded to Michelle's room and I knocked.

"Come in" she said, I pulled down the doorknob and I entered the room

"Lance sent you right?" she inquired

"Yes he did and I think you know why" I replied her. What she said next wasn't something I expected to hear.

"Follow me" she said as she went out of the door.

"We've been walking for almost half an hour now, must we get to the woods before you talk?" I asked Michelle but just as she'd been ignoring me since we left, she ignored me again. Then we got to the woods.

She started running and I followed then she stopped and she she started telling me the story of the person that gave into their animalistic nature

"Now I'm ready to talk, please don't interrupt. Three years ago it was an annual thing for each class to have ten warriors I, Joe, Lance, Dan, Lisa, Arnold, Caleb, Ivan, and Jesse were chosen with Mia Lorenzo as our leader, she had this tomboyish behaviour, she was an omega, purple eyed to be precise and was very funny. Together we fought other classes for the Annual inter-class fighting competition and we won two years in a row, do you know why? It was because Mia was such a great leader she'd use her knowledge about fighting and teach us. We were young then, yet we were strong. Just a year ago the principal called all of us told us about the slaughs and the fact that they were among the students disguising as one and she tasked us with luring them out to the forest and let the guards take care of the rest and that we did. We spent weeks finding those guys and luring them to the woods was somewhat easy. Our job was done but Mia wasn't satisfied. She felt hurt that we would spend our time luring them out and the guards would have to kill the slaughs and take the glory so she disobeyed and that day she didn't leave the woods, instead she stood with the guards and killed those slaughs. I don't know what happened but the guards said she was so obsessed in killing those things that she went after a strong one and he tried to steal her soul and she tried to stop in from doing that making her to forget everything about herself, even how to transform from her wolf form back to human trapping her that way forever" Michelle narrated lookin upwards.

I was so following that story that I never noticed a large wolf of about five feet with purple glowing eyes and a white fur. I almost jumped when I found out and surprisingly I locked eyes with the wolf and my eyes glowed emerald green involuntarily oh!! This is not happening "woman are you jealous" Now I've gone insane two different voices in my head

And just after I had killed this unfriendly fellow, the guards decided to show their ugly faces.

"What!!" the guard I recognised to be the guard that led me to the dining room shouted, surprisingly the remaining guards were looking at the headless slaugh in front of me with bewilderment

"It takes five best werewolves to takedown a slaugh, but you just proved that you are five men packed into one, follow us" one of these guys remarked, but I had no time for whatever shit these guys had to say, so only one thing came to my mind.

Hey guys, why don't we play a game of catch me if you can the fools were surprised, why shouldn't they be, I had just disobeyed, or rather ignored them and that made them give me this look that was screaming are you for real.

With a smile I turned towards where I came from and dashed out of the woods.

If I say I am fast, so were they, maybe faster because they were really closing in on me, "time to change the pace" I said to myself and falling on my hands, and I stared moving on all fours. This way, me being faster than when would be an understatement, at this pace within a minute sure they'll be miles away from me.

I got back to the school just in time for lunch, I ran to the locker room to wash my hands and I went to the cafeteria.

With the tray in my hands I walked to my supposed table, I was about to sit when a question was thrown at me

"Tell me the rumor about you running after a slaugh is untrue" Michelle the girl in nerdy glasses asked and instead of replying I just shrugged and I sat down

"Then why are you still here?" Joe the tallest guy in the group asked "You might be strong but I'm sure you can't outrun a slaugh" he continued

"Wait what are you driving at,? You think I let him go like a coward? I caught up with him and I separated his head from his neck" I told the occupants of my table with a smug smile, earning a wow from them

"I don't think that's good" Cathy said making me snap my head to face her

"What do you mean" I asked her looking straight into her eyes

"I mean the last person that took out a slaugh alone was so obsessed with killing those slaughs that she gave in to her animalistic nature and she's been that way ever since" Cathy answered with this look of remorse, whoever that was, that person was really loved by my friends because they all had tis gloomy look an were surprisingly quiet, this action of theirs got me confused.

The friends I've come to know were lively and fun to be with but these guys sitting around this table were in grief and whisk made me ask myself the big question who gave in to their animalistic nature?, a question that would have to be answered sooner.

He was a friggin Hermit, he lived his life like those mentally unstable people that manage to escape from the hospitals, the replica of a mad man, his appearance like that of a person who hadn't seen water for the past hundred years, but as they say Beauty is in the eyes of its beholder so can be said about this man but not beauty, that would be so so wrong, this man was very far from being beautiful, power should be used to replace beauty.

He might be ugly, he might look fragile, he might be a hermit but that didn't change the fact that he had unimaginable power, power to kill ten vampires singlehandedly in one minute, power to evade a group of slaughs, an this power made him a target, the vampire's target.

Call him a supernatural an you are close to it, call him an invincible supernatural and you got it. I this dreaded lonely night he was asleep in his dirty home when the heard a very loud howl, this was his territory and no wolf was welcome. He scampered to his clothes rack, or maybe rags rack and took out a two edged sword

"I fight to kill" was all he said before he ran out of the cave and towards where the howl came from

In a conference room people are seated round the table discussing about something very important, they have their mind so focused on the meeting that they had turned dead to the outside world, they are different people with different behaviours but if there is one thing they all hat in common, It was the fact that they were all werewolves.

"The slaughs are gaining on us, we need to do something about it" a woman that happened to be the leader of the Pennsylvania Wolf Packs said to all the members, each pack had their representatives except for an empty chair, used to be the Anderson's but that pack had been exterminated by the vampires

"As if that's not enough, we've heard rumors that the Goradon vampires new experiment is a werewolf with unimaginable strength that surpass that of our normal wolves" said the man sitting opposite the leader

"We have our hands full, if we send our soldiers, we'd be giving the slaughs enough time to penetrate our defences, so Mrs Green, task one of your teachers to pick a strong student that would take him down" the leader said, looking at the principal of the school of lycantrophs

"Informant says those science wolves are eleven in number" someone said

"Fine, Principal make the students eleven, now lets move to other matters" the leader said signifying the end of that topic.

Changing glances from the teacher to the notebook and scribbling the words furiously fast, trying to meet the teacher talking pace, we were interrupted by the sound of blaring alarms, the white bulbs suddenly started blaring red

"Its 12 'o' clock the time for the slaugh protection scan, the blaring alarms means a slaugh is in the building" the teacher said calming our inquisitive minds.

A slaugh?, I didn't even know what that was, and just after the teacher said that the boy sitting down beside me heart started beating rapidly, its normal to be scared, everyone in the class was, but the fear coming off this guy, it was just too much so I tried the super scenting ant the only thing I smelt was wood. How would someone smell like wood?, except that person wasn't whom he wanted us to believe, he must've be the SLAUGH the scan found.

With the look I was giving him, it knew it was busted so it shot up, I followed to, then in like a second we were out the window falling from like three stories to the ground. Lessons had just started so most students were in their class, no one except for the students in my class witnessed the fall.

I landed on my back while he landed on his feet like someone who just jumped a few metres. The pain shot through me, but my supernatural healing abilities countered the pain and I started healing at an instant. He began to run, and I followed, trouble just seemed to follow me these days.

We ran for so long, I kept up with him, but didn't match his pace, I had almost caught him when he tried to climb one of the teacher's house, when I pulled a sound of flipping myself off the ground to the top of the roof setting a space of about five feet between us, and since then, I don't think the little gap he gave me closed. Maybe I wasn't slowing down and he wasn't too or maybe I wasn't getting faster and he wasn't too, it was as if we were moving at a uniform speed.

We raced till we got to the woods in this place, he wasn't slowing down and so was I, in here I figured out that he might have an advantage over me because I wasn't familiar with this woods. In a flash he was out of my view but still the scent of old wood still lingered fully in my nose. As I was running I think I hit a twig, I was going to fall and if I do fall, I would loose this guy totally, with my mind set on the race instead of falling face flat on the bushy ground, I fell on my hands or should I say fore foot. This way I was twice as fast as I would be on foot, moving with my feet and hands like any four legged animal would between seconds I could see him again, and this time I was gaining on him.

Immediately I got behind him I lunged forward in this my form, my elongated claws dug deep into his back and he turned immediately giving me an opportunity at his neck, something I did with ease, he was still trying to struggle, that annoyed me and I pulled its head off his neck with all the strength in me, it was dead already and the ancient magic faded away showing me its real form, a very big head, wood like skin, claws and fangs with a deep and soulless black eyes. I heaved a sigh.

"This is payback for pushing me out of the window" I said to the headless body

Looking down at the bed, a black suit, white shirt and a black trousers is laid perfectly, I don't even know how it got here

"that's your uniform, the tailor brought it while you were in the bathroom" my roommate told me, I just sighed and went to the closet to change, this clothes was incomplete, I mean where is the belt and all

"he also left a belt, a socks and a shoe" Lance my roommate said smiling, probably because I was holding the trousers to prevent it from falling.

In a minute I was fully dressed, For what? That I don't know

"Why exactly am I wearing this attire" I asked Lance who just kept staring at me

"We are going to school" he replied me, speaking word by word

What!! I didn't bargain this with Jenny, first she ruined my summer break, now brought me to a place where I would have to go to school again

"wait before you say anything its not like normal schooling with annoying subjects, we are on a break too so History would probably be the only written subject, the rest like shifting, fighting classes sure would be practical" Lance said. I sighed in relief, I thought I was starting school here too.

"So do you guys eat breakfast here?" I asked Lance who didn't reply but gave a short laugh.

We walked out of the boy's hostel building together and towards the cafeteria, part of me didn't want to go there because of what I caused yesterday

"you know nothing will happen if you walk inside there" Lance said as if getting my thoughts
"nobody likes the president and Violet even the guard so the only trouble you may face will be from Violet's followers, the president to me is a coward so there is nothing he would do to you"

We got to the cafeteria and I followed Lance to where some students queued, waiting to be served, this was just like our lunchroom in high school but unlike there, here you don't pay on daily basis.

I followed Lance to his table and just like my school in Herlett his friends were sitting round the table

"So who is the handsome fella?" asked a girl in glasses

"Everyone this is Mark Anderson" Lance said pointing his fingers at me "and Mark this is..." he continued introducing me to his friends "and lastly this is Cathy my girlfriend, you know her already yo met her yesterday, though in an absurd situation"

"Do you mean Anderson as in Peter Anderson, one of the co-founders of this school"

"Yes" I said involuntarily, Jenny first occurrence since the office yesterday.

School today was cool and I really learnt a lot about the history of werewolves, the teacher Mrs Snow taught us about the history of yellow eyed Beta's and according to her she started from the Basics.

Earlier this morning I had gone to the principal's office who stared at me for like thirty seconds before she gave me my schedule and according to the schedule, the next class was shifting class.

Just like history this morning this one too went well but throughout that class Jenny was screaming in my head that someone was watching me and I would turn around and see no one. Things around the school was just so normal, no one even made reference to the riot of yesterday.

inaudibley knowing I'd hear.

I just walked away and tried to find somewhere to sit, this place was really occupied and the empty seating space was jealously protected by non owners, every time I approached a table with an empty chair, the people sitting around the table would stop whatever they're doing and give me this you are not wanted here glare, this happened about three times and that made me wonder if this was planned for new students or people around here are totally unfriendly.

I got to the far end of the dining room before I saw an unoccupied table which I ran to. With relief I sat down and I started to think over all today's events when I heard a short growl. I looked towards where the growl came from and I saw a girl, wait! did I just say a girl? No way this was an amazingly beautiful girl, maybe a weird one because she had a pink hair and her makeup to me was over full. That put me off but my wolf was having none of that, it was already drawn to her. Looking around the girl, I found six men in the same uniform as the guards I met outside.

I turned away, closed my eyes and I took a breathe, scenting the girl as I did. I was going to put one of the things Jenny taught me to work super scenting I don't think such word exists but that's what she called it, she said it was limited to Omegas alone so what better time to try it out but now. From her scent I could say she's a mid teen, between fifteen to nineteen, she likes strawberry and Oh! She's an Omega, that explains the guards standing beside her.

All this while my eyes were closed and I was so engrossed in this girl's scent that I didn't notice someone in front of me till he wrapped his hands around my neck. Even before my eyes snapped open I sent a very hard punch towards where whoever it was that wanted to strangle me head should be. I opened my eyes and I saw the damage my punch had done, right on mark I had hit that person on the jaw and he hit the wall, I was still looking when I faced the same fate but unlike the guy sprawling on the floor i didn't move, my neck didn't even turn from the impact of the punch. I turned my neck to see that the punch came from the girl my wolf admired, but heck if my wolf liked her I don't and she won't punch me and get away with it.

I took a step forward towards her and so did her guards shielding her from me, I felt this power, rage to hurt someone, something I felt last during my confrontation with Fred and in like ten seconds the six guards were lying on the ground, each had their necks snapped and the girl in pink hair neck was in my hands with her feet off the floor. She was clawing furiously at the hands I used in raising her ignoring that and looking around, this time I had something else to worry about than my hurting hand, a RIOT had started.

It was as if the people here were waiting for something like this, they were really fighting each other all around, feeble hearted people scampered off to the door, strong hearted people fought each other furiously, this looked like zombie apocalypse

"If I were you I'd drop that girl and get out of here before the guards come" someone told me and immediately ran away, following that person's advice I dropped the girl and instead of going through the overcrowded door I jumped out through the window and surprisingly some people followed my lead, there I heard a gun shot followed by a scream "the guards."

People around me started running and I did too. When they got to a certain place they stopped so I turned to ask a boy how to get to room 175.

"I don't know about room 175 but every room you might be is in that building" he said pointing towards a building.

I jogged towards the building and I opened the door, walking into a corridor. At the end of the corridor I noticed something there were thirty rooms on the ground floor, I know because each room had a number on its door calculating quickly room 175 should be on the sixth floor, sometimes its just good to be a geek. I came out of the elevator on the sixth floor with with a couple of students and walked to room 175. I pulled down the doorknob an I entered the room. Immediately I closed the door the lights went off, I became alert at an instant. I could hear an unsteady heartbeat and I could smell the fear of someone at the far end of the room. At a blur speed I was there with my hands around that persons neck, then the door opened and the lights came on

"What!! first you almost strangled the president's girlfriend and now you want to do the same to mine" the guy who opened the door screamed. I left the girl and she ran towards her boyfriend.

"how do I get to room 175" I asked him and he gave the simplest reply

"ask around" and with that he walked away leaving me in front of this crowded building.

From outside this building my ear got crowded with the noise or should I say buzz going on inside, seriously this place sounded like a beehive. Summoning courage and with Jenny to back me up I pushed the double door and stepped inside, my nose went haywire I've never been somewhere this crowded.

That simple action of pushing the door made everyone attention switch to me and the place became seriously quiet the were all staring at me How did they know? I wouldn't ask that no one would answer. I still had this bewildered look on me when I heard someone cleared his throat probably to gain my attention and that of every one in this place. I looked towards where the sound came from, I saw a guy about six feet or more tall sitting on a table and looking at me straight in he eye

"Name" he asked not shifting his eyes away from mine. Now I don't really need Jenny's help I could handle this

"Mark Anderson" replied at an instant

"Status?" It seemed that new students get to answer two questions here instead of the normal one and why was he even asking me questions

"Beta" I replied reluctantly think he sensed that so he gave a little growl and funny enough I responded with my own growl. He just scoffed and looked towards the crowd before he said

"everyone initiation time" and after that the lights went off. I thought they were going to beat me up or something so I bared my fangs and took a fighting stance but after I say eyes glowing everywhere I understood what he ment by initiation. I could see different colours of glowing eyes ranging from crimson red to amber yellow, to electric blue and I could swear I saw purple somewhere. They left their eyes aglow like they were expecting me to do something.
."glow your eyes too" Jenny told me. I did as she said and the lights came back on and every one resumed to whatever it is they were doing before like I never existed. Except for the tall guy sitting o the table, he was looking at me with a scowl on his face and gave me this hand to eye gesture

"my eyes are on you" he muttered inaudibley knowing I would hear him, I didn't reply him, I just walked away and was trying to look for somewhere to sit

CHAPTER 15


The guards stopped infront of a door and so did I. One of them opened the door and ushered me in. On getting in what I saw made my face drop.


This office was surprisingly empty and totally green, the walls, the rug, the ceiling and even the clothes of the woman sitting on the chair that's facing the door. I almost thought I was in a freaking tree. Whoever this woman is she had a very absurd taste in colour just like my mum , I always hated that color. I squinted like if trying to reduce the green my brain was processing and that made me notice the woman opposite me. She was giving me the same look i would give an insane person alright she might be right to give me that look, I mean who squints when looking at a colour that isn't even bright.


Snapping out and quickly facing the woman and also ignoring the green I walked towards the chair opposite her desk


"New student right?" she asked typing on her computer and not looking towards me.


Instead of answering I just kept staring at her, all this while I hadn't noticed her face, She looked just exactly as my mum, facial features, the green and even their taste in music because the same music playing in the background was the same played in my mum's house some days ago, She must be the twin my mum always talked about.


"Hello!" she said taking me by surprise and making me jerk on the chair


"You better stop acting werid or you won't ne here for long" Jenny scolded. So I tried to straighten up and act normal but it was already late because the action was reversed, this time she was the one staring at me.


Did I say I and my brother both looked like our mum, much to our resentment so seeing the younger male version of you is enough to make you stare. She just shook her head and faced the computer again.


"Name?" she asked


"Mark Anderson" okay that came out of my mouth involuntarily Jenny!!


"Status?" she asked. There was a problem with that one I didn't understand what she meant by status.


"Beta" I said involuntarily I've sort of started enjoying this "But why beta?" I asked Jenny


"If you said omega you would become an experiment, they'll monitor you and call scientists from different part of the world to study you and trust me you wouldn't like it" Jenny told me


"Glow your eyes here please" the woman who looks exactly like my mum said moving a retina scanner from only God knows where towards my face and I could feel my eyes glowing, not omega red but beta amber yellow glow.


"Welcome to the SCHOOL OF LYCANTROPHS Mister Anderson" more like a lycantrophical region I thought earning a laugh from Jenny.


The woman told the ever persistent guard at my left to take to dining room and also to take me to room 175 after that and with that I stood up and together with the guards we went out the door.


Part of me was wishing these guys don't run again so I could look around and understand what this place looked like. We descended the stairs and went out of the building.


I was just looking around in awe, this place was really a sight to behold the remaining guards had gone to their various stations and I was stuck to the remaining one that was taking me to the cafeteria or dining as these people called it, I think they are really old fashioned and even their buildings looks ancient there was even a sky long cathedral and past that came a field in the centre of another building with walk paths that led to different places and corridors of the building surrounding it, there were three fountains situated at three different areas in the park like garden. We moved forward and we got to the dining room. Immediately we got there the guard turned and ws walking away before I screamed for him to wait and grabbed him by the arm something he hit away not his fault I'd done that to him earlier.


"how do I get to room 175" I asked him and he gave the simplest reply


"ask around" and with that he walked away leaving me in front of this crowded building.

I came conscious again to meet myself infront of a tall and broad black gate. It had to be the birth of a new night because the sun was just setting which made me wonder how long I had been out. The gate was so high to the extent that I had to bend my head backwards to see the top.


"how did we get here" I asked Jenny standing up and brushing the dirt off my pants, all this while I was sitting on the floor, looking around to study my location I found out that this gate was somewhere in this forest.


"Quit asking question and knock the gate"


Sighing in disbelief I walked towards the gate and knocked the gate


"Did you even hear that, even a light wind would hit the gate better than your fist" Jenny scolded, giving off a sigh again I banged the gate with all my might. What came after was clearly unexpected, the alarms started blaring even louder than my banging. Then the gate opened, not the gate actually but a little part of the gate.


Six men in black leather jacket came rushing towards me. They had this stone faced look and their eyes was glowing red with their fangs bared, they were tall, I think the shortest should be like 6 foot.


They gave me this surprised look when they saw me, literally I became dumb, I stared at their faces then I knew not what to say, then I felt the urge to say something then involuntarily I said "hi" Jenny at it again, speaking out through me again and I couldn't stop her I'll need to learn how to control this sooner or later but for the meantime let me play along since I have nothing to say for myself, at least she didn't make me unconscious.


"I'm the last member of the Anderson pack, sure you've heard about us" Jenny said through me again


"That would need verification" the guard on my extreme left said and made to grab my hands. I snatched my hands from him immediately he he touched me


"fine then just follow me" he said again as he and his colleagues led me past the gate and into the compound.


Okay the word compound earlier was an understatement this place was far more than a compound, this place was a new world entirely, the whole place reeked of wolves.


"welcome to the school of lycans" Jenny commented just Jenny speaking reminded me of her statement earlier


"wait I'm not a member of the Anderson's pack"


"well you are because I say so and moreso I bit you, all you just experienced was little, just wait and watch me change your identity."


"why did this guys stop giving me that look when you said Anderson pack" I thought to Jenny as these guys led me towards somewhere I knew not


"the Anderson's have a great reputation here and I trust you to retain that"


What a weird girl, she even trusted me with the reputation pf her family. We got to a big building like about three storeis and from the exterior look I could guess what was on the insides.


"we run" one out of the three guys that escorted me to wherever it was that there were taking me said as he started running and the others followed.


"obviously they are testing you so show them what you've got" Jenny said to me and I followed the running guards. One word for this guys fast. These guys were so incredibly fast but surprisingly I kept up, I didn't even know we'd entered the building talkless of us being in the last floor, I couldn't even remember running up the stairs


"They are taking you to the principal's office and you guessed right this building is purposely meant for offices"


This just keeps getting better. I sighed again, I tend to sigh frequently nowadays.


The guards stopped infront of a door and so did I. One of them opened the door and ushered me in. On getting in what I saw made my face drop

I waited for a few more hours, then at exactly 11‘o’clock I heard the footsteps from the steps, hard and heavy, it had to be him. I jumped up from the bed and made for the door holding my breath, waiting patiently and masking my scent.


Immediately he was within my reach, I sprang out from behind the door and gave him a punch on the face, the door was slightly open, wide enough for me to go through it. Even as fast as he could be he was caught unawares.


He staggered backwards with long strides and rolled down the stairs. With all the occupants of this house being a werewolf the sound of someone rolling down the stairs must have woken them up. They came rushing out from their various rooms not to me but to their father and to my mother her husband down the stairs.


They must have thought I punched him because he was the man who took my mother away from


"that punch was totally uncalled for show him the real thing and get the hell out of here" Jenny fumed.


Since the full moon I have never tried to use any part of this wolfy powers or whatsoever so showing him the real thing was kind of a problem


"Concentrate feel your connection to your wolf, feel its blood coursing through you veins, feel its might and power, feel its rage and feel it bursting out of you, I believe in you John" Jenny told me in a seemingly quiet and solemn voice. All this while I was listening to her I had already transformed, the beta transformation to be precise long fangs, normal height, wolflike ears and all but If there was one odd thing It ws that my eyes didn't glow, everything about me changed but my eyes.


I looked down to see five pair of eyes staring at me I bared my fangs at them and gave them a sly smile. Kara gave a loud growl probably signifying their pack mates. I jumped from the top of the stairs and landed at the ground floor I smacked Kara across the face Kara. The force of that smack sent her flying into the living room.


Her dad stood up with the rest of the family members and transformed right infront of me, even the little one. Giving off that sly smile again I said


"Why the shocked face mum thought I came here for a reunion?" scanning through their faces and making sure they all heard me well I continued "Before the rest of your savage dogs get here I need to tell you why I'm here. Im here to come and go." This time their expression changed from shocked to confused


"let me elaborate well, to my family members I'm spending the rest of my summer break here, and to you I'm going somewhere else so don't look for me and for the record I'm just a normal beta" I said beaming with smiles


"Why are you doing this?" my mother asked


"See I don't have time to answer but don't worry I'll tell you when this is over, and again don't try to contact me my phone is on the bed in the guest room. Alright its time for me to get going"


With that I jumped out through the window and raced down the street


"Compose yourself some wolves are around the corner, responding to that girl's growl" Jenny said


I slowed down and walked properly.


"Jenny your turn" was all I said before I slipped into unconsciousness

I came back to consciousness to the clanging sound of spoons, forks and knives on plates looking around to get my current location I found out that I was in my mother's house sitting on the dining table and eating with my step-family, that I should call them


“So what is your view about football?” my stepfather asked, obviously we must have been in a conversation before I took over. Jerking myself out of these thoughts and quickly thinking of what to say. It was a very simple question and answering wasn’t a problem


“All I can say for now since I’m not in some kind of national league is that football is a very aggressive game and that people with some kind of deformities or ailment should not partake in it” was all I said earning smiles from my mum’s oldest daughter she was just a year younger than me how that was possible since my mum and dad divorced since I was four is a story for another day.


The rest of the dining time went quietly and to me easily. This family wasn’t what I expected to see, this family was living flashy and classy everything here was really expensive, as I was looking around admiring the things in the house my mum came to me


“My husband got this entire place through inheritance his father was a lawyer and he had the cash, lots and lots of it but unfortunately one night he was found dead in his apartment with his heart missing”


These I thought of “dead untouched body, missing heart” ‘vampire trademark’ jenny said to me. I on the other hand gave her no reply. After saying that she just went of, her problem who cares anyway? There my mum’s oldest daughter whose name I later found out to be Kara came to me


“Please let me show you your room” she said to me in a sweet voice down to her appearance saying she’s beautiful would be an understatement she’s more than beautiful with this beautiful smile long jet black hair which she bond into a pony tail, a real eight figure type of girl. She flashed me this beautiful smile once again like she was expecting me to say something


“Alright let’s go” I said to her as she led me to the guest room. I didn’t plan on staying long here for this was only a means to my destination according to jenny. Just the same about the whole house, this room was beautifully furnished. I just lay on the bed waiting for the perfect time for my plan. On the dining table as everyone was eating I could swear that deep down into these people pheromones I could smell the alluring scent of a wolf which means both my mum, her husband and her kids had to be werewolves.


To me this wasn’t a family anymore this was a pack now the main question on my mind is was my mum a werewolf before I was born? Or did this her husband change her? Now I really had to watch my steps in this house because everything I do would be sensed.
