Very simply, am I correct to assume when a worldremit transfer is made to an account, it should go in automatically to the recipient's bank account?

Or do the staff at the recipient's bank approve the transfer, before it reflects on their account statement. A family member who normally sends me small stipends, did so this Corona virus period, and my account is yet to show the money. This is the first time ever noticed such.
