Career / Re: BCS May 2021 Session Results Are Out! by spoilerx: 1:23pm On Feb 26
shockreaction:
Hey folks!

The results for the May 2021 BCS session are live on the candidate portal. I took the Certificate in IT modules and passed all of them (pass mark is 40%).

Information Systems - 65% (I thought I would do better here, but guess not. I never really cared much for this module to be honest.)
Software Development - 91% (I've been doing this for over 16 years now, so kinda makes sense)
Computer & Network Technology - 53% (kinda expected. I was a little burned out at the time so I didn't properly revise the topics. I ended up explaining some concepts poorly so I completely understand why I didn't do so well here).

I've started preparing for the October 2021 session Diploma exams. Registration is currently open for the session and will close by August 23rd.

Did you take exams in the May 2021 session? What did you score?

Hello, what membership type did you use to register for BCS HEQ ?

Av tried 3 different HDMI cable still same issue. But I tried on my neighbour tv with all d 3 HDMI cables nd it display. My concern now is that my neighbour TV is not a smart TV while am using smart TV.

check the display settings when connected to your neighbours TV , try setting it to the lowest setting. 720p I think then try with your TV

She uses excel well.

Then tell us who coded WannaCry.

Whoever put it together used bits of code that malwaretech guy wrote , that's why he was arrested & they assumed he was behind it.

please stop spreading false information, hushpuppi did not put together wannacry.

This your comment shows you don't know anything about cyber security, by the way do you have a degree in computer science? Let me tell you, don't comment on issues you don't know. Google the name Marcus Hutchins. This is a guru in cyber security without any form of certificate or degree, he is notable for stopping the global ransomware called WannaCry. And it will shock you to know that WannaCry was coded by Ramon Abbas aka Hushpuppi, always research before you comment. Finally I want you to know that the IBM X-force team are hackers without certificate or degree in computer science.

Stop spreading lies !!!!!

Ramon didn't code nothing!

Programming / Re: Pls Who Know About Computer Servers And If They Work In Nigeria by spoilerx: 5:30pm On Apr 06, 2023
Nigerianquest:

Oh I didn't say servers won't work in Nigeria. Let's say, I'm hosting my website on aws or Google clouds, and the costs of hosting there is expensive. So now I want to have my own data center with 1000 Terabytes.

Now the question is...

1. Where in Nigeria can I buy those web servers?

2. How much would they cost? (For 1000 Terabytes).

3. Do Internet service providers like MTN, GLO, allow you buy internet subscription for those computer servers? (Note: This is because you'll need your own router to set up a computer web server and some countries ISP doesn't allow web servers monthly subscription).

4. Is the Network for those computer servers good? (That's, hope no downtime and the rest, etc).

Computer servers are in computer Labs in some universities, so anyone that knows the answer to these should pls help the house.

Some companies like Airtel, Mainone & MTN offer co location services. they give you space at their DC and you can setup up your equipment (servers et al) there.
They would provide power, security , connectivity for your equipment. but this isn't a cheap service . I know banks use this sort of service in Nigeria.
