This is the hilarious moment Wanderson Cristaldo Farias jumped into the crowd to kiss his wife after he scored – only to find out the goal had been disallowed, MySportDab reports.

The Brazilian was made to look a right muppet when he thought he had opened the scoring for Bulgarian side Ludogorets in their First Division game against Slavia Sofia.

Having stabbed the ball home at the far post, the 31-year-old wheeled away in celebration and headed toward the stand behind the goal to find his wife.

The delighted midfielder spotted his missus in the corner and she bound down the stairs to meet him.

Once she arrived at pitch level, the beaming pair leaned over the advertising hoarding, exchanged some brief words and shared a passionate snog.

But Wanderson’s joy was short lived as he turned round to re-enter the field of play only to realise the goal had been chalked off and the teams had played on without him.

Twitter user Mshumanov posted the video online with the caption: “One of this weekend’s funniest moments in Bulgarian football.

"Wanderson scoring for Ludogorets against Slavia, then celebrating by kissing his wife in the stands, without realising his goal has been ruled for offside.

FIFA are probing the possibility of replacing linesmen with robots anytime soon, MySportDab reports.

According to The Mirror, football's international governing body have set up a new department to discover whether technology could be used further in football.

The linesman's role has been identified as a potential area in which technology could come into use.

If the findings of the new department are favourable, football could see a three-man on-field officiating party reduced to just one.

An insider confirmed: “FIFA already have a department set upresearchinginto these exact areas.

“Will they replace referee assistants completely with cameras and computers ruling offsides and throw-ins? It could happen one day.”

Six people have been injured by a giant lightning strike while watching the FedEx Cup in Atlanta, MySportDab reports.

Several of the spectators - who were on the green watching the Third Round of the championship event - were seen lying on the ground after the incident occurred late Saturday afternoon at East Lake Golf Club.

Another man was seen strapped to a stretcher as he was rushed to an ambulance by EMT crews.

In a statement released on Saturday evening, the PGA said two lightning strikes hit the green around 4.45 pm.

One of those strikes hit a tree, with debris injuring four of the spectators.

Two others were also hurt in the storm - although it's not clear if they were struck by the lightning directly.

Serena Williams has already started prepations for the 2019 US Open after its draw was announced earlier this week, MySportDab reports.

Fernando Torres has announced his retirement from professional football but lost 6-1 in his final match as his Sagan Tosu side conceded six goals to Andres Iniesta's Vissel Kobe, MySportDab reports.
