RomanceHow To Attract Women Anywhere by Staccy(op): 7:09pm On Jan 27, 2015
https://www.tsbmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/attractanywhere1.jpg

Stay Ready
I have a saying that I try to remember on a daily basis. I actually got it from a rap song I heard a while back (credit to Suga Free).

If you stay ready, you ain’t got to get ready

This article is about always being attractive when you leave your house. Now, I’m not necessarily talking about approaching women. Instead, I’m talking about presenting yourself in public in such a way that if you decide to talk to a woman, she will be very receptive to your approach.

Clothes and Style
First of all, let’s talk about clothes and style. Keep it clean. I can’t stand this fashion trend of stitched-on dragons and skulls and crazy squiggles. A clean, well-fitting t-shirt, and some blue jeans is a great look for any guy. Make sure your jeans are up to date – no Wranglers from 1992. True Religion, Joe’s Jeans, Levi’s, Diesel – these are all great brands. Make sure they fit and don’t have too much extra decoration.

Don’t get too fancy unless you really know what you are doing. Keep your shirts simple and masculine. Get some plaid shirts with colors that look good with your skin tone. Roll up the sleeves. Solid button-downs are much better than fancy stripes or stitched dragons. V-neck t-shirts make your shoulders look broader. Make sure your clothes are clean and unwrinkled.

Get a woman who knows fashion to go shoe-shopping with you. Women always notice a guys shoes (I know, it’s weird). Trust that a woman will know which shoes you should wear, and you’ll be shocked when women give you more attention when you wear what your female friend picked out for you.

A standard for any guy, dressing up, or dressing down, is a stylish, well-fitting jacket. Have a casual jacket for when the weather cools off, and maybe a heavier coat if it gets really cold. This is another thing women really notice.

So let’s recap fashion:

Keep it clean and simple.
Pick colors that suit your skin tone, and wear styles that fit your body type.
Keep your items up to date, and get help from women whenever possible.

RomanceHow To Tell If She Is The Jealous Type by Staccy(op): 2:53pm On Jan 27, 2015
https://www.tsbmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/annoyed-girlfriend.jpg

annoyed-girlfriend

A woman who you are just casually seeing, or have only recently started a relationship with, is not going to be upfront about being jealous. At first, she is going to portray herself as the ‘cool girlfriend’, who does not mind if you go out for a boys’ night or catch up with a female friend. Continue..........................................

She won’t tell you when you ask

You may think the easiest way to find out if she is jealous is to ask her. This will not yield anything useful. Regardless of whether or not she is jealous, she will tell you she is not. Asking outright is not the way to find out.

She makes a big show of not being jealous

The biggest warning sign is when she is trying her hardest to seem like she is fine with whatever you do. She will tell you she does not care if you text another girl, and may repeat this several times. If she genuinely was not jealous, she would be unlikely to say anything about the matter unless you asked.

She asks a lot of questions

You mention that you got lunch with your childhood best friend (who happens to be a woman). This seems to be fine at first. Your new girlfriend might say “okay, that sounds fun,” her expression not betraying a hint of jealousy. Then, she begins asking you questions. They seem like innocent enough questions, but she is trying to catch you out. She might ask what you ordered- if you stumble over such a simple question, it will seem like perhaps you were doing something else entirely with your friend. If she has not met your friend, she may ask questions about what this woman is like. This is likely because she is trying to compare herself. What she really wants to know is if you are attracted to your friend. You may think that your girlfriend is just curious about your day, but really she is trying to find out if there is anything to be jealous of.

She makes plans to spite you

You’re going out with your friends? Fine, she will make plans to go out with her friends. You flirted with the bartender? Then she will flirt with the waiter right in front of you. She is acting out of character to try to make you jealous; in order that you will stop doing whatever it is that is making her jealous. She may also be seeking attention from others because she feels neglected when not receiving your full attention.

She blanks you

After you have done something that made her jealous, she suddenly becomes cold. She insists that there is nothing wrong, but seems more on edge than usual. This is because she is annoyed at you. She may be subtly altering her behaviour on purpose, to discourage you from doing it again without having to actually confront you about it. Or, it may be totally involuntary. This would indicate that she is incredibly jealous. She is trying to keep her cool and pretend that she is fine with whatever happened, but she is most definitely not fine with it.

RomanceThe WRONG Way To Text Girls (avoid THIS Mistake) by Staccy(op): 2:08pm On Jan 27, 2015
https://www.tsbmag.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/rsz_1010-54pct20039.jpg

So, a lot of the stuff that works for me in text messaging is very SUBTLE.

The other day I was hanging out with a couple of friends who go to a very prestigious business school, and they were telling me about how frustrated they were about how girls responded to them over text.

I asked to see their messages, and something immediately jumped out to me – they weren’t using what we call “textanese”.

Their messages went something like this:

“Hey, how are you feeling today? I’m just about to head to class right now, we should hang out later. Talk to you soon!”

Ok, now of course, that’s how you write people emails when you are in business school wink But over text, it doesn’t work. All the punctuation and capitalization and proper grammar sends the very subtle signal that you are putting a lot of thought into your texts and that they are a FORMAL thing.

Texting, though, should be anything but formal.

The reason that this stuff works so well on girls is because it is SO casual and easy-breezy. So they feel very comfortable responding.

So textanese is my little shorthand term for the way you use language differently over text.

“hey headed to class now lets hang later… oh ya btw how u feeling today”

Most grammar teachers would choke on this sentence, but this is how girls talk to each other on text… and when you talk like them, it makes it a lot easier for them to communicate with you.

The big differences are that…

I shortened things up
I assumed that she’d want to hang out
I eliminated all punctuation, including the question mark at the end
I used words like ya and btw (by the way)
Can you imagine how different she feels when she gets this one, vs. the first one? The first one feels like something that you really thought about, while the second one seems like it was dashed off quickly in between other awesome things you’re doing wink

It’s subtle, but it makes a HUGE impact on how girls respond to texts (and this goes for emails, facebook, and messaging on online dating sites too!)

This is just scratching the surface though. If you want a full-on breakdown of textanese and how to talk like the baller that you are (or that she wants you to be haha) then you’ve gotta get up on How to text Her.

Doesn’t matter whether you’re a business-school genius or still chillin’ on friends’ couches (that was me until not too long ago haha) – good text game is make or break! (More Interesting Tips Visit http://washingtonlens.com/the-wrong-way-to-text-girls-avoid-this-mistake/

BusinessNamibia’s Government Shuts Down China Naval Base Reports by Staccy(op): 11:31am On Jan 24, 2015
https://d22atgph1ebwrd.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/21/2015/01/186917378.jpg

The Namibian government on Thursday dismissed as fabricated local media reports that China planned to construct a naval base along Namibia’s coast.

“The ministry of foreign affairs wishes to unequivocally state that there are no discussions between the Republic of Namibia and the People’s Republic of China regarding the establishment by the latter of a naval base in Namibia,” the ministry said in a statement.

On Tuesday, a local daily paper carried an article headlined “Chinese naval base for Walvis” quoting from an allegedly official letter. According to the ministry the letter was forged.

The alleged “confidential letter” appeared to have been written by the Namibian http://notjustafrica.com/namibias-government-shuts-down-china-naval-base-reports/ ambassador to China and addressed to the permanent secretary of the ministry of foreign affairs after a meeting.
CelebritiesOpinion: Building Tourism In Soweto, A New Frontier by Staccy(op): 10:58am On Jan 24, 2015
https://d22atgph1ebwrd.cloudfront.net/wp-content/uploads/sites/21/2015/01/vilikazi-street-2.jpg

Do a Google search of Soweto hotels and you’ll probably come up with a list of four hotels. Two of them are guest houses and one is a bed-and-breakfast. The bottom line — Soweto has one hotel.

It’s a luxurious four-star hotel with 46 standard rooms and two presidential suites located on Freedom Square, across from the Walter Sisulu Square of Dedication Convention Center. Groups of up to 3000 meet at the convention center.

Soweto is home to 1.3 million people, or 1.6 million, or 3.5 million, depending on who you ask. The taxi driver who took me to eat at Sakhumzi Restaurant on Soweto’s famous Vilakazi Street said Soweto has 3.5 million residents — he was one.

On our way there, we passed a guy wearing a Santa hat who was directing traffic at the intersection of Klipspruit and Sifasonke (“We die together” in Zulu) streets.

An estimated 40 percent of Johannesburg area residents live in Soweto, but Soweto has one hotel. It’s called The Soweto Hotel.

he Soweto Hotel is one of seven local tourism endeavors and entrepreneurs that formed a cooperative to draw attention to tourism experiences available in Soweto.

The cooperative, So We Too, was co-founded by Raymond Rampolokeng, Soweto’s first ever bird guide and a leading conservationist in the area. In 2007 he founded his company, Bay of Grace Tours, providing birding tours for the first time in the history of Soweto, according to a report in BusinessDayLive.

Tripadvisor ranked Sakhumzi the No. 1 restaurant in Soweto, and No. 93 out of 750 restaurants in Johannesburg.

The restaurant had all its bases covered for an authentic Soweto dining experience with a buffet that included umngqusho (samp and beans), pap and pumpkin, chakalaka (spicy vegetable relish) and lamb stew. Me and the taxi driver watched the traffic on Vilakazi while eating at a long wooden table that had champagne bottles and fluted glasses on it. The champagne bottles weren’t just for decoration.

“On weekends, the locals buy Dom Pérignon,” said Archie Tsoku, Sakhumzi’s brand custodian, aka marketing manager. “We probably sell 24 bottles a month.” There were also less expensive offerings, such as Boschendal, Haute Cabrière and Rupert & Rothschild wines.

“Soweto gets a high number of visitors but there’s no place to stay,” Tsoku lamented.

The FNB stadium, also known as Soccer City, or the First National Bank Stadium, or The Calabash, is located in Nasrec, bordering the Soweto. It’s where the 2010 Fifa World Cup was held, five kilometers from Sakhumzi. British boy band One Direction will perform there in March.

Visitors come by the busloads to get the authentic Soweto experience, buy crafts — made by Nigerians and Kenyans and Senegalese, but rarely by Sowetans, Tsoku said — and then the visitors get back on the buses and they go elsewhere to stay in hotels.

It’s easy to do business in Soweto, Tsoku insisted. “The rules are not punitive. Investors could partner with locals,” he said. “It’s an open market system.”

It’s not that local crafts aren’t being made in Soweto, Tsoku said. They are. They just aren’t being sold there. “Soweto crafts appear and disappear like comets,” he said. “There’s no factories here dedicated to Soweto craft.”

There’s a market for local Soweto carnivals and festivals, Tsoku said, that would attract huge crowds from outside Soweto.

In 2011, Bird Man Rampolokeng and the other So We Too members participated in a six-month mentorship program. Each business was linked with a mentor to scrutinize its business plan, bankability and objectives.

The seven businesses include the Soweto Hotel, Roots Restaurant and Gallery, TKD Tours (cycling and walking tours), Mahlatsi Arts and Crafts, Aahaah Shuttle and tours, Soweto Outdoor adventures and Bay of Grace Tour.

Combining birding, biking, dining, arts and accommodation, the seven tourist-related companies came up with 12-hour and 24-hour tours they market to corporate and leisure visitors.

“There’s a huge gap here,” Tsoku said, gazing off into the future.
