budaatum:
In a gesture of goodwill President Trump said Wednesday he is delaying the planned tariff rate increase from 25% to 30% on $250 billion in imports from China set to take effect on Oct. 1. The new tariff hikes will instead begin on Oct. 15. Trump said he is taking this action at the request of the Vice Premier of China Liu He; Oct. 1 marks the 70th anniversary of the People’s Republic of China.

China may have paved the way for the start of a trade truce ahead of planned talks as it has also shown a willingness to waive tariffs on U.S. products starting Sept. 17.

The slight reprieve may be little comfort to American businesses that have had to struggle with trade uncertainties. Trump’s tariff policy has cost American businesses $6.8 billion in July, a 62% increase from the same period last year, according to Tariffs Hurt the Heartland, an alliance of more than 150 associations representing every sector of the U.S. economy.

Despite assurances by Trump and White House trade adviser Peter Navarro that China is paying “the full burden” of these tariffs, U.S. businesses are paying the highest tariffs in history, and that painful financial reality will only get worse if Trump follows through on his threats of further tariffs.

The $6.8 billion businesses paid in July only reflects the tariff rate increase from 10% to 25% that occurred on May 10 on $250 billion in imports from China. Trump has threatened two more rounds of tariffs. On Sept. 1, Trump’s order to place 15% tariffs on roughly $112 billion in imports from China went through. And on Oct. 15, Trump plans to implement 30% tariffs on the $250 billion in Chinese goods currently being tariffed at the 25% rate.

Were all set to have a BIG victory, until Dan Bishop won North Carolina 09. Now you will hear them barely talk about, or cover, the race. Fake News never wins!

So the Garlic Festival shooter was an anti-capitalist extremist of Iranian decent that attacked a gun free security zone in a gun law heavy state?

We’ll see how fast the left buries this story now that they can’t weaponized a human tragedy to fit their false narrative.

Trumps about to execute a white supremacist, while trying to free a black rapper from jail, as he pushes prison reform that directly benefits families of black men, while calling out a city where minorities are victims of crime & blight. if Trumps a racist, he sucks at it.

Borno State in Nigeria has been under Book haram attacks for years.

I wish they have some sort of weapons to defend themselves.

It would not have been easy to attack these people if they are armed.

This desperate attempt by democrats to disarm Americans is very dangerous.

By attacking Rep Cummings, Trump has lured Democrats into saying his District is a wonderful place to live and completely normal. This is almost as good as making them embrace the Squad.

I can see the ads now - video of garbage and rats and, "Democrats call this normal?"

Mueller himself has proven 2 things:
1) He wasn’t in charge
2) He didn’t know what was going on.

So.....did the deep state write the report, too?

I honestly don't have time to school you. A special council is different from independent council. Although their job is similar, and independent council does not report and was not under the DOJ.

The CIA/FBI/DNC paid for for a bogus Dossier, used to wiretap Trump before the election, and used it as a basis for bogus 2 year investigation on Trump after the election. They are the people who obstructed justice. And Mueller said he had not heard of Fusion GPS LOL.
Shocking right ? He was busy indicting people on old charges

I know you are far more intelligent than you are displaying here. Special council is very different from independent council. The main difference is in the word independent, meaning he is independent of the DOJ and any other US organisation. He can indict a sitting president and he can investigate any thing. Special council is under the DOJ and is guided by the AG. He cannot go outside the mandate he has been given.

And yes because his mandate to does not include obstruction of justice, he cannot make such determination. Meanwhile he cannot exonerate the president of obstruction of justice. Read between the lines.
wrong

In the United States, a special counsel (formerly called special prosecutor or independent counsel) is a lawyer appointed to investigate, and potentially prosecute, a particular case of suspected wrongdoing for which a conflict of interest exists for the usual prosecuting authority.

His mandate does not include obstruction but he indicted individuals on crimes that has nothing to do with Russian collussion,
He also did not say he found Trump guilty of any wrong doing. He is supposed to find evidence to the prosecute him but the truth is there is not enough evidence. That means he is innocent. Get it?

That's not what miller said. Miller said "we are not allowed to indict a sitting president because of DOJ's guidelines, however we could not exonerate him on obstruction of justice, we can only forward our findings to congress to take further actions".
Rubbish
In the United States, a special counsel (formerly called special prosecutor or independent counsel) is a lawyer appointed to investigate, and potentially prosecute, a particular case of suspected wrongdoing for which a conflict of interest exists for the usual prosecuting authority.
Also
Mueller said the investigation did not establish that the Trump campaign conspired with Russia and the probe did not address 'collusion.

So what crime is Trump being charged for?

Pure Politics...

...depending on which side of political affiliation...one thing is certain from the hearing asked by a republican congressman..."can the president be indicted after he left office...mueller said "yes" twice...

https://twitter.com/i/status/1154038990003036161

...Rep Buck was not ready for that answer, the first rule of law is to know the answer before you ask the question...Mueller said he would indict Trump when his term is over, that was damaging. This is why Trump keeps saying he may just stay in the WH indefinitely. He knows what’s going to happen when he leaves....of course Mueller will not contradict his report. He already said there was enough in the report to charge Trump when he leaves office....

...also the republicans strategy was to take Mueller down by linking his team to Clinton in order to defend a president that he employed people who donated to Hillary Clinton, played golf with Bill Clinton, and had the Clintons at his wedding? This is why their downfall is imminent....

...for the record...Mueller was appointed over the past 30 years by 3 Republican Presidents – Ronald Reagan, George H.W Bush and George W Bush and appointed by briefly by Obama...
Charged for what crime?
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by stanech: 5:57pm On Jul 24, 2019
Anduku:
Exactly, you can't find someone not exonerated or not innocent under the law because a person's innocent is already granted under the law. You are innocent until proven guilty by law. You are expected to find them guilty or not guilty and you can only find guilty when you have proved beyond reasonable doubt that alleged crime was committed. What Mueller is saying is, we didn't find him guilty but at the same time we didn't exonerate him. A very strange decision that is alien to the law or DOJ guidelines. Even Mueller admitted that this has never been done before when Rep. Collins challenged him on that
Could not have said it better

Mueller’s overall point: “We didn’t have enough to charge Trump with obstruction but we won’t exonerate him either”. Believe me if the Democrats had something on him he’d have been charged. What Mueller is doing is grandstanding... purely political. Sick guy.
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by stanech: 5:41pm On Jul 24, 2019
Mueller needs to go back to law school. In America’s judicial system, no prosecutors ever, ever conclude innocence. They only decide guilt. Americans are presumed innocent if not found guilty!
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by stanech: 4:08pm On Jul 24, 2019
“Mueller was asked whether or not the investigation was impeded in any way, and he said no.”

In other words, there was NO OBSTRUCTION.

Even my democrat friend just gave up
No matter whose side you’re on, I think it’s going to be virtually unanimous that the great case study in rectitude, Robert Mueller, has not made a good overall impression today. Perhaps a mercy rule should be invoked & just get the guy outta there. This is painful
