I gave up on PTA immediately after the floating (devaluation) of the naira. From my analysis, a one-way ticket from OIM and purchasing dollars at parallel market rate was better than a return ticket and purchasing dollars via PTA. And as u rightly said, PTA is almost impossible to get. I've decided to manage whatever I've.
But I'll be happy to know any better alternative you come up with.

you can try moneygram and western union from several trusted people to trusted persons abroad who would subsequently send the money to your australian bank account ( i assume you already have a NAB account). Although the rate moneygram is better than western union.

Have you made any headway in your dollars pursuit now?? I am also having same challenge and the big problem is that banks would decline any PTA applicaion on a one-way ticket. Anyone with ideas of how one can raise forex should kindly share.

N205k as at 29th June 2016, and the ticket shows $(USD)911.
I checked the fare for that itenary online and it's N601k on wakanow.com and $(USD)1,608 on Emirates.com.
So, like I said, with the current value of the Naira, I can say I made a good saving. I wish they had similarly scheme for one to obtain the dollars coz that's the next thing giving me sleepless nights, lol. My once very huge budget has now become a CHANGE in USD.

I can actually connect to your problem because i have walked that lane. Have you ever heard of "bush fallowing" or "shifting cultivation". Those are agric terms for celibacy which is what you require right now. Please dont listen to anyone telling you to go for any drugs because at best that can only be a temporary relief. You have a very interesting problem which I can actually connect to because I am in such a situation too. I think your worries come from the fact that you cant see any real prospects of growth and career advancement in your current job. I dont know if you are a believer but I am quite sure you did not get that job by shear luck. The same God that gave you that job has greater plans for you ahead only if you stay connected to Him. Dont disappoint God by quitting this job which is what the enemy wants to achieve. Every job comes with challenges.

What you need is to pray and ask God to help you and also teach you what you need to take away from the present experience.

Finally, do not restrict yourself to your job alone, as I am quite sure the routine nature of your job would afford you extra time for more extensive knowledge acqusition.

Has anyone been invited for the training scheduled for 30th of May to 4th of June?

I also got invited for same training in abj which is supposed to commence on 30th of this month. However I was informed that startup would now be on the 31st, because of the public hols on 30th. There wont be any arrangements for accomodation, and so invitees are expected to take care of themselves
