I have same problem with my Toyota Camry 2005 model. With 10 pin gearbox. It started gradually with little delay when you engage the gear in the morning. It takes time to response but the reverse is OK. My mechanic thought it was from the gearbox, he did total service (including change of ATF, brainbox services and valves and even changed the drive component of the gear) still the problem persist).
At a time when it was worst and the car refused to move forward totally, I noticed the mechanic simply disconnected the brainbox and drove it manually without the usually delays.
Please what's the solution to this problem I am new to Toyota, I use Honda before.
NB: the gear selects fine with it picks after the morning delays.

I have a problem with my 2005 Toyota Camry XLE with an automatic transmission. In the morning when the car is cold it doesn't engage 'Drive' unless I first press the pedal down and rev the engine for some minutes then it suddenly engages with a Jerk! but Reversing works fine. Also when the car has gone a long distance or been stuck in our Lagos traffic for long, While moving, with the car on 'Drive', and I am pressing on the accelerator and trying to shift over 80kmph, it feels as though the car is reverting into neutral. I say this because I can clearly hear the engine revving up, but the car is not moving any faster and the accelerometer never goes beyond 2000rpm. If I completely step off of the accelerator, and "pump" the pedal repeatedly, eventually, it will begin to accelerate again. this issue seems to happen sporadically. Climbing steep terrain has become a nightmare.

I have replaced the ATS, changed the filter underneath, changed the valve body. But the problem still persists.

Please what could be the problem? And what can be done to get a permanent solution?

I suggest these:

1. Check ATF fluid level when cold and hot. In fact, how do you check the fluid level?

2. Get a technician that can do good diagnosis by studying solenoid logic.

Make good use of your discretion so that you won't over spend before you buy new transmission though I don't think this issue is beyond fix.

Thank you, I have been worried sick on the cost of having to change the entire gear.

I check the fluid level on the little fluid container by the right side of the engine. Though i have always only checked before driving out when its cold. I will park and observe the level once it happens again.

Do you have any sound technician who can address this in Lagos? Many thanks Chief.

Thank so much for this, it is pure scam, I got same from UNCRD and when I did some digging I saw a difference in the domain name. un-crd. The real domain has no hyphen. The money they target is the accommodation fees. Stay woke people!!

It is not advisable to bring a potential staff from across the globe without any form of verbal contact, not even during the recruitment process?

Just to clarify why i think its a fraud, their emails have stopped going, all emails i sent bounced back and i had 4 email address i was contacting.

They did not ask me to pay for anything except for accommodation and they clearly stated that it was not mandatory and i can opt out of it if i am not interested. The additional cost that would have been incurred was for the medical examination which i am grateful i dint end up doing... e for pain me.

For those interested in the step by step process: i was sent the e-interview form to fill out, I submitted it, received acknowledgement email. A few weeks later i got an email with the offer letter (how convenient) and was asked to sign and submit.

I also received another email with the contract (5 years contract) breakdown of my salary(i wish), training program which was supposed to hold in 3 different months in Jan, Feb and March. Also, option to get accommodation. They sent the medical examination form which included taking some lab tests.

I submitted my details as requested i.e passport, photo, filled out a lot of forms which included H-3 form for visa for the training, even applied for visa for the country i was posted to.

My emails just dint go through anymore and no one made any effort to reach me. On this note, i hereby declare it a fraud.

So... after all this drama I did the right thing. Went to UN website and read up on their recruitment process which was far from what happened so I suggest you all apply through their website and ignore all these bogus claims from fraudulent people creating imaginary jobs for UN.

I am impressed by them though, very detailed and I wonder where they got their materials from, even handbook of over 100 pages � Detailed even got the UN headquarters' post code and all

It's quite simple : Lack of maintenance ; when you buy a piece of equipment and u don't schedule it for a periodic maintenance den it's sure to fail sooner than later. women naturally tend to look very aged after pregnancy, and this is cos of the expansions nd hormonal imbalances her body has had to go tru during pregnancy. restoring her back (or near) to her former self stats would require sincere positive efforts. Her diet and regular exercise are key to achieving this. the hubby has a very important part to play by supporting her emotionally. concerned wifeys should give it a fair try.
