The Oba was forced out of his palace after a mob attacked the palace on Wednesday, October 21 and carted away his staff of office.

The staff of office has been found and he is said to return to the palace tomorrow October 28.

Questions and grief linger after Philly police fatally shoot Walter Wallace Jr.; Mayor Kenney promises ‘speedy and transparent’ investigation

Philadelphia police fatally shot Walter Wallace Jr., a 27-year-old Black man armed with a knife on the 6100 block of Locust Street on Monday afternoon.

Family members and neighbors questioned the shooting, while city officials said an investigation was underway.

Wallace’s death prompted protests in West Philadelphia. Late Monday into early Tuesday, hundreds of people protested, with interactions between police and demonstrators turning heated and at times violent.

A female sergeant remained hospitalized Tuesday afternoon in stable condition with a broken leg after being “intentionally run over” by a pickup truck, the police commissioner said, and 29 other officers suffered “cuts and bruises” from being struck by projectiles such as rocks and bricks.

Police said as of Tuesday afternoon at least 91 people had been arrested in relation to the unrest.

Governor Sanwo-Olu has finally confessed in a new interview with CNN that it was the Nigerian Army who slaughtered peaceful protesters at the Lekki toll gate, Recall Sanwo-Olu initially said no casualties were recorded and then the Nigerian army repeatedly denied being at the scene they even said it was all fake news and that most of the video evidences were either cropped or photoshopped.
