I always tell people that Mexico and other south American countries will never attempt to undermine USA no matter what Russia promises them because the sensible leaders there know there will be consequences that only them will face, not Russia. Look at the deportation saga and see how Mexico and Columbia all backed down because they know USA is a superior power. You may be called a coward but it is a sensible thing to do.
