Xenophobia is overrated my guy. Btw , useless countries don't get to host world cups cool
The so-called useless country has hosted the only Soccer World Cup to ever be hosted in Africa (2010), the Rugby World Cup (1995), Africa Cup of Nations (1996 and 20something), won Miss Universe and Miss Word on 3 occasions, hosted G20 meetings and other important world events/conferences. Is that how you describe useless??

@AFONJACOW

No, South Africa is not useless, we are just trying to compete like any other ambitious country. And we are not using our financial muscle to buy success because we believe in fairness, otherwise we would be winning every competition because we have all the money to do it. From 1957 to 1992 South Africa has not participated in any CAF competition. During our 35 year absence only a handful of countries won Africa Cup of Nations title. Only Cameroon and Egypt dominated CAF competition. We came back in 1992 and got hammered by a handful of countries....even our neighbour Zimbabwe hammered us by 4 goals to nil. But we soon improved and turned things around, and saw Orlando Pirates becoming the first team in Southern Africa region to win the Caf champions cup in 1995 when it beat Asec Mimosa at their own turf (Abidjan). Pirates went on to win the Super Cup. Pirates' feat gave South African soccer the confidence it needed, and Bafana Bafana went on to become the first Southern African country to win the Africa cup of nations in 1996. It is also interesting to note that we have also been to the world cup on few occasions...something that a lot of African teams/countries have not been able to do in our 35 year absence. We are no longer the whipping boys of Africa but one of the respected teams, and I know we have the respect of Egypt and Nigeria.

Motsepe has always been involved in football development, and his business acumen will bode well for the entire African Football growth. You will see unprecedented growth in the quality and finances of CAF under Motsepe. He is already a billionaire whose passion is to have Caf compete on the same level with other confederations in terms of quality, administration and finances. He took Manelodi Sundowns from an ordinary club to being one of the giants in African football. Sundowns is now feared by the likes of Al Ahly and of course your Enyimba. Just a year ago Sundowns annihilated Al Ahly by five goals (something that has never happened to Ahly in its rich history). And guess who was the coach of sundowns then...the one and only son of the soil Pitso Mosimane. Pitso Mosimane was recruited to Sundowns by Patrice Motsepe and he hit the ground running and won Sundowns' first ever Caf Championship league and Super cup. He went on to lose at the quarterfinals of Club World Cup. As we speak, the same Pitso Mosimane is the first black African coach of Al Ahly and he has already won them a treble, including caf champions cup. He again recently lost the club world cup semifinal against Bayern Munich. So, in short all I am saying is that Caf, under the leadership of Motsepe, is heading in a right direction.
