Burshh: I once did a Lagos to Dubai on an A380. It was such a delight to be on that flight. It has stairs leading to the upper deck for the Business and First-class travelers. The in-flight experience was superb. My brother when did you have that experience please, few years back (8years ago or so) when airbus A380 was introduced to the world no country in Africa has the facility to receive it except Ethiopia Airport. I have used the A380 couple of times to London of coarse is double deck as you mentioned but I transited through Dubai to be able to board it as none can come to Africa then.If you are sure of boarding in Lagos it means we have upgrade well enough recently. |
Romance › Re: What Old-time Pre-marital And Extra-marital Sex May Cause You Today. by stepg05: 6:47pm On Jul 26, 2025 |
Hamachi: Actually, there’s no biblical record or historical evidence that King Solomon died at age 50. The Bible never states Solomon’s exact age at death — that’s speculation passed down through tradition, not fact.
Here’s what we do know:
Solomon reigned for 40 years (1 Kings 11:42).
He became king as a young adult, likely around age 20 (based on 1 Kings 3:7 where he refers to himself as "a little child" in experience, not age). That means he likely died around age 60 or older, which was a respectable lifespan in ancient times.
Also, regarding God “leaving him” — yes, the Bible says Solomon turned to foreign gods in his later years (1 Kings 11:4-10), and God became displeased. But it never says God struck him down or that his death was punishment. In fact:
God allowed Solomon to live out his reign in peace. Judgment was postponed until after Solomon’s death — the kingdom was divided during his son Rehoboam's time (1 Kings 11:12).
So saying “he died at 50” or “God left him and he ended in waste” is not supported by facts.
Solomon’s story is complex. He made mistakes, but he also left behind Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Songs — texts full of wisdom. His life wasn’t a waste; it was a mirror of human imperfection, power, and the consequences of choices — like many of us today. I respect your intelligence dear.God bless you. |

The present Syrian president is smart he prefers peace and prosperity of his nation. He has learnt a lot from what has been happening across the world especially for leaders who have exhibited element of aggression or terrorism while also throwing open tantrums and challenge to US etc.Mossi of Egypt came to mind.
He is trying to cement the severed relationship between Syria and US while US also try to support building the Syrian economy etc he can't start another futile fight with Israel who are perceive to be Americans top ally and friend. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Iran Leadership Vows Retaliation Over US Attack On Nuclear sites, Trump Reacts by stepg05: 11:09am On Jun 22, 2025 |
icedfire: Let’s get some facts in order, because emotions are running high and misinformation is everywhere
Claim 1: “Israel attacked Iran first, and Iran is a sovereign nation.”
This argument keeps popping up, but it ignores years and decades of provocation and aggression from Iran.
Rebuttal: Iran has been attacking Israel for years indirectly by funding, arming, and commanding proxies like Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in Gaza, the Houthis in Yemen, and Shia militias in Iraq and Syria. These groups have been consistently launching rockets and bombs into Israeli territory. This isn’t hearsay — this is confirmed by global intelligence agencies and even openly admitted by Iran’s own leadership.
On October 7, Hamas launched a brutal and unprecedented terror attack on Israel — killing civilians, taking hostages, and sparking the current escalation. That attack was the first shot in this round of war, not anything Israel did to Iran directly.
Yes, Israel is now responding — as any nation would. And they’re doing it strategically, going after each proxy one by one — Hamas, then other militias, and now possibly turning their attention to Iran itself, the source of it all.
Even Hezbollah — Iran’s top ally — is now publicly saying they won’t join the war if Iran is directly attacked. That tells you everything. Iran is mostly alone, because even its so-called allies know how reckless this has become.
Claim 2: “If Israel and the U.S. have nuclear weapons, why can’t Iran have nukes too?”
On the surface, this might sound like a fair question but look deeper.
Rebuttal: There’s a massive difference between who holds nuclear weapons and how they intend to use them.
In Iran, every parliamentary session ends with chants of “Death to Israel, Death to America.” This isn’t symbolic. Iran backs it up with real-world violence through its proxies. They’ve made their intentions crystal clear — they want to wipe Israel off the map. So why should a nation with that mindset be allowed to have nuclear weapons?
Think of it like this: it’s okay for a police officer to carry a gun, because his job is to protect people. But should we hand a gun to an armed robber who already told us he plans to shoot someone? That’s exactly what giving Iran nukes would look like.
The U.S. and Israel having nukes doesn’t mean everyone should. There’s a difference between deterrence and destruction. Iran isn’t seeking peace. They are seeking power to enforce their ideology through violence.
Iran is too small for Isreal to destroy. Imagine , if Isreal was to do the same thing Iran is doing ? Isreal and now Us are the only country that would announce an impending attack to you civilians to move , hence targeting only military installations but Iran doesn’t give no eff about civilians . They delight in blowing up hospitals. Please if you want to Arthur , argue with logic and not emotions or your religious affiliations or sentiments . Ire o Very brilliant bravo!! |
Properties › Re: Why Building Houses For Tenants In Nigeria No Longer Makes Sense by stepg05: 7:57pm On Jun 20, 2025 |
Nefort: I don't think they are building it to make money. It seems they are building it to save money so their money wouldn't depreciate in the bank. The value of the rent, building and land appreciates with time and they can also decide to sell the building and get returns the same or higher than their initial investment. Building a house is still very much better than keeping the money in the bank. Very spot on........................................ |

adebowales: so they were not ready but went on to attack first? Now they re regretting their actions As I said everything has been planned including all the damages to Israel cities, you will agree with me this is war and this is Iran vs Israel the two most power military power in Middle east. There must be heavy casualties on both sides. But Israel anticipated and deliberately allowed some damages so that they can justify next round of powerful attacks on Iran nuclear and military facilities. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: For 2nd Day In Row, Iran Missile Hits Beersheba, Buildings Damaged With 7 Injure by stepg05: 11:57am On Jun 20, 2025 |
Intelligence knows this damages are grand decoy by both US and Israel to allow some missiles from Iran to slip through Israel cities, and buying times for Israel to recharge while making it look like Iran is having upper hand but believe me the world will be in utter shock after two weeks when all is set for Israel and when all concerned civilians must have left Tehran.By then no one will blame Israel because it will generally be agreed Iran may have had their fair share of attacks on Isreal. |

Why will an incapable leader choose to keep silent about security issues in his state; no actions, not at all. Just seated there like a decorative figure. perhaps was why he bought the citizens to show solidarity and support the president so that state of emergency will not be declared.in Benue. |

omonnakoda: Write home about?
I don't think that is the correct way to use that idiom
Why not just keep it simple and stick to what you know
Perhaps you meant to say the cost of medication would be HIGH Good observation. That is simple and straight forward
Nothing to write home about means ordinary mediocre or poor e.g
"Your result in WAEC English was probably nothing to write home about" |
