Ok as someone who is presently in the US Army, I will explain to you how you can join the marines. The first thing you need is to be a green card holder. Contact a marine recruiter and take the test. The test is called ASVAB and it comprises of the stuff you already know before. You need to score high to be considered, for the army I think u need to score 40%but I don't know the cut off for the Marines.
After passing the ASVAB, you are scheduled for a medical at MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station), there you do your physical and other health related test to ascertain your level of fitness. This is where you sign your contract and the next thing is for you to go to the boot camp.
However, coming out as a marine is not automatic because trust me boot camp is tough, it is more mental than physical but if you are strong both mentally and physically you will scale through....Just know you sit ups, Pull ups and be able to run. Also, you shooting skills have to be superb....Then you can now call yourself a marine and wear the coveted Service Uniform that makes any girl drool. LOL
