ThePureDiamond: To further diffuse this sir eejo, most africans aren't contented with what they have. They love comfort and flashy things, but lacks patience to build and sustain the comfort they so love and cherish.
The bad treatment of the people of most african countries by their governments, makes it easy for most citizens to grow bitter and speak bad of their respective countries. Poor governance is also implicated in all these, infact, it is one of the causal factors, together with the africans comparing their countries to the white people's own, sir eejo.
Africans support overseas football clubs and do not attach much relevance to clubs in their communities - because Nigeria, and most other african countries' domestic football leagues are bad and inferior, in terms of structures and organization, so they don't have the appeal that European football leagues possess. This is why most africans don't watch them. And, the reason they are so bad and inferior is that - those who govern the football and sports federation in most african countries, are fantastically corrupt, so due to this, they are inefficient, selfish and incompetent! They embezzle the funds meant for profound development of the domestic leagues; they habitually owe players and coaches salaries for months, especially in Nigeria. Nigerian referees don't get selected even for African cup of Nations competition, talk less of being shortlisted to referee CAF champions league or world cup matches.
Since most africans love comfort and an enabling environment, if they can't get them in their countries, they would do whatever it takes or latch onto any available opportunity, to have access to the "comfort and enabling environment" they seek, even if they would have to settle for less or abandon their culture to fit in. To an extent, this explains why some africans are fond of selling all their properties and use the proceeds to relocate abroad, and on getting here take petty jobs and then fit in to be accepted, all in the name of thriving in a place that has the comfort and enabling environment they so seek, sir eejo.

TopNotchTrends: A Nigerian lady has shaken the internet after her latest revelation. In Nigeria, a woman's achievement is incomplete if she is not married and African women see this as a big flex. Many dream of this given that the Nigerian society frowns as unmarried woman who are of age and this gives rise to a certain degree of stigma against them.
A Nigerian lady has now dropped a bomb, saying that her bragging rights is knowing (being very sure) that non of her friends will get married. In her words "I sleep well at night knowing well that none of my friends will get married"
This is a daring statement given that she lives in Nigeria. Perhaps she is confident of not being disappointed because she herself has decided to not get married (at least not to a man) giving the possibility of getting into a relationship with a female.
I am a teacher, and I am speaking out because I am unhappy with how teachers are treated. We are not paid well, and people don't respect us like we deserve.
So, I'm making a change. From now on, I will only do my job according to the amount I am paid. If I'm not given the pay or respect I deserve, I won't put in extra effort.
I want other teachers to join me. Let's show the country that teachers matter. Think about it, if all teachers from Creche to University dropped their tools, where would the doctors, lawyers, engineers, and other professionals come from?
If we don't teach them well, our society will decay, and crime will be everywhere. And when that happens, they will come looking for professional teachers to fix the mess.
To our leaders, I say: if you want good doctors, lawyers, and leaders, you need to support teachers. We're the ones shaping the future.
If you value lives pay doctors and treat them well they have their own lives to care for.If they wait for patients to die before begging doctors teachers should reduce their efforts and work according to how much they are paid and let the society decay so they would see a need to value the education sector.
If you value your children's future treat teacher's well.We spend time with them than you do and can let many wrong things they learn at home to go uncorrected and make them see those wrong things as normal by being silent.
Teacher's if you don't show you worth something(that you are the Future Leaders builder), our value would never be seen.
Reduce your efforts and work according to your salary and see how the society would decay fast and see how they would come begging for your services.
Let's work together to make Nigeria a better place.
