Hello everyone, I just found this thread. I applied for the coronation wealth manager/financial planner graduate trainee program. I took the test, did both interviews and my medicals already. I got an email yesterday about another meeting with the HR personnel talking about us discussing and then answering any questions I might have. Please did anyone else get this email?
Thanks in advance.
I did

No you can leave at anytime however read Read 8b, 8c and 8d. Regards
Lol, if you decide to “leave anytime” do you know how much it’ll cost you? Also have you read 7? Especially 7point 3 and 4?

Then when you open the bond document you understand what 8b c and d in the offer letter means

In essence, would you advice someone who plans to stay for a year to accept the offer and can you estimate the cost of indemnification the person would incure.

I applied for wealth manager/Financial planner and I have done my medicals. I received a call from them last week Friday asking for the earliest possible time I can resume if I got offer letter that day and I said a month's time (cos I have to give one month notice where I work currently). I am yet to receive offer letter.....

Same with me. Told them i have to give a 1 month notice but i can do 2 weeks. They said they’d get back to me shortly. Let’s just be positive and wait.

Absolutely spot on. Different strokes for different folks. Guys, just know what works for you really. I will also suggest that you reach out directly to the entity you’ve been posted to for any clarification you need. They should also be able to speak in details to the pay post Training School. There is also nothing to be scared about, the bond only speaks to training cost which they need to receive value for and in my opinion I think that is fair. In the event you get another offer that interests you during the 2 year bond period, you can always leave once you agree on payment plan for the 1m or 2m as the case may be (should be prorated )

Well said. Always ask for clarification and i also feel the amount would be pro-rated

Exploitation how please? The company is going to invest funds in training you to become a world class professional. They are not a charity organization. If you get a PhD scholarship abroad, you commit 5 years, why should this be different. I am also an applicant like you so don’t think I am an insider. Please if this is your mindset allow other people who would appreciate the opportunity grab it. You should be more concerned about how you can add value to the company which will definitely help you grow in your career. You are being given the opportunity to take a professional course and possibly gain 2 years experience from a reputable company (if you perform well in the academy). You haven’t been employed and you are already shouting exploitation. Just wow.. Please change your mindset.

You’ve made a good point but i think everyone kinda has a plan for their life and that has to do with time too, so a company requesting a compulsory stay for 2 years can be a problem if that doesn’t fit into their life plan but still i think its best to weigh the pros and cons as it pertains to each individual personally. To some people its an opportunity to others its bondage. So there’s really no right or wrong, its more of “how does this fit into my goals” but still having a good and positive mindset about every situation helps.

Yes, I know someone who has. However training has not started. Everyone will be onboarded into the academy from the various affiliates before they start.

Wealth management. I’ve done the interviews and medicals.

I’m asking if anyone in wealth management has gotten an update after medical.

No update yet. I think we have to wait till all departments meet up with us at medicals.

I just got an invite for a 2nd stage interview for data analyst. Anyone else got the invite here?
Also any ideas what kind of questions should I expect for the 2nd stage interview for those who have done it for financial planner and wealth management?

For wealth management it was just a chat
The insurance guys said theirs was hard. So just prepare to be on the safe side.

For those that got mail for the medicals, how was/is going?

Where you successful?

Kindly update us on necessary/next steps and/or information

Ion know what goes as successful for medicals but if you’re healthy and your test comes out clean then i guess you’re successful. The doctor basically just tells your results, offers some advice on what and what you should watch. I enjoyed my chat with her. So i guess its nothing serious. Just tests and result

What's the update on your medical
O i went for it on Wednesday so the doctor basically just tells you your result after they've carried out the tests. It was quick. Nothing major and I haven’t heard from the HR on what steps next. I think they want to conclude with everyone (as per department) first cause i called the HR and asked him how long it takes for the whole on-boarding process cause i need to give a resignation notice where i currently work and he just said “we are taking all that into consideration before the training program starts” so that’s that i guess.
