Webmasters › Canonical Announces Ubuntu AWS Rolling Linux Kernel For Ubuntu 18.04 LTS Amis by stevefrellton(op): 8:27am On Dec 07, 2019*. Modified: 11:42pm On Mar 30, 2020 |
Canonical announced that the default Linux kernel in the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS AMIs (Amazon Machine Images) is moving to a rolling kernel model. Until now, the Ubuntu images for AWS (Amazon Web Services) have been using a normal Linux kernel that was updated whenever a new security update was available. With the new rolling model, the kernel in the Ubuntu AWS images gets all the latest fixes, performance tweaks, and security patches from upstream, as soon as they are available. "The Ubuntu rolling kernel model provides the latest upstream bug fixes and performance improvements around task scheduling, I/O scheduling, networking, hypervisor guests and containers to our users," said Canonical. "Canonical has been following this model in other cloud environments for some time now, and have found it to be an excellent way to deliver these benefits while continuing to provide LTS level stability." "How to get started with a rolling kernel in Ubuntu AMIs" Starting today, the rolling kernel model is being applied to the Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Bionic Beaver) Amazon Machine Images, which will upgrade users from the regular Linux 4.15 kernel to the Linux 5.0 kernel from the Ubuntu 19.04 (Disco Dingo) release, which is available for preview as the linux-aws-edge kernel and it is recommended only for non-production deployments. https://medium.com/@gabrielboone/pokemon-masters-free-unlimited-gems-and-coins-mod-2020-android-ios-316fab9e8bbe https://medium.com/@georgehines/sins-raid-mod-unlimited-free-gems-gold-android-ios-ad508916dfb1 https://medium.com/@georgehines/wheels-in-mud-offroad-simulator-mod-unlimited-money-bc27d90092f6 https://medium.com/@georgehines/world-cricket-championship-2-android-free-coins-mod-2020-e26bece41bc0 https://medium.com/@kylewadde/idle-legends-ragnarok-saga-mod-unlimited-gems-and-gold-fcaef4788b2d https://medium.com/@kylewadde/cabal-mobile-mod-free-unlimited-gems-and-gold-2185d2cd14c6 https://medium.com/@kylewadde/l-o-s-t-mod-free-crafting-android-2a812c3beff4 https://medium.com/@michaeldellney/zitobox-free-coins-2020-generator-android-ios-d65b5cefff8e https://medium.com/@michaeldellney/free-star-coins-star-stable-2020-generator-android-ios-e045bc63a08b https://medium.com/@michaeldellney/meep-city-hack-free-coins-2020-android-ios-eceac2002389 |
