my female gsd (VICKY) is almost 8 months now and my vet told me she may be on her first heat anytime from 8 months.I got her from a friend that couldn't keep her when he gt her due to a marital disagreement over pet.they brought her from Jos @ 8wks.
pls how do I socialize her more to be more bold and not afraid when around lots of people or in crowded place.she's always shaky when in a crowded place and I understand that is FEAR.

You were suppose to start socializing her from around 8 weeks, but the good thing is, it's never too late. You can start by letting her play around your friends and family in the once, once you see she's getting scared, go to her, then give her a treat, go back to your seat and call her if she doesn't come, let a friend or family to her and give her treat too, then go back and call her, keep doing this until when you call her while sitting with friends around she feels comfortable enough to come to you or any of your friends who call her. From there, begin to take her on long walks, you can take a walk out, then go to a crowded area and sit on a spot, let her watch people pass to and from, continue this constantly. Taking her to a place with busy vehicles moving to will help take away the fear. She's cute and I wish you all the best. However, I have a male for stud. Well I don't actually cook mine i pour hot water on it after mixing it and leave it for 10 mins or more for it to swell and get cold Before serving...the fish meal is very good for all kind of dog, it has a lot of protein's and make your dog coat shinning and healthy

where can one get he fish meal and soya, can you please upload pictures of it if you have any?

I have tried that but I can't stand my dog start himself for more than 24 hrs. I will try again, hopefully he will change.

My brother I think the menu you use presently is too exorbitant to be maintained. Even the one you are searching is more exorbitant Dogs become highly selective when they have options. I talk from experience. My Pure Breed Russian Shepherd was selective even to reject Italian food and was feeding only on American Diamond Feed I ordered from US via Mall for Africa. This meant that I would be spending like $300 per month to feed the dog. I said categorical no. I decided to be getting him remains of food from Thrillers and Macdon in Awka here. I was paying for it. Initially he didn't eat, he selected only the meant and bones. But gradually he adapted seeing that he had no alternative. Today he eats rice, beans, semo etc. In your own case, the dog has been spoon-fed for lon. So it will take him time to adjust to simple menu. But I encourage you to keep on. The love you have for the dog may not allow you leave it go hungry when he is selective. But do not let the dog dictate for you rather dictate for him. Thanks

thanks bro, I really appreciate your candid advise. I think I will result to that, I'm just afraid he might begin to loose more weight. I will try to see how well he keeps up withour his dog food.

Please I have a 1 year old GSD, he is selective when it comes to food. He doesn't take anything that doesn't have salt, or pepper, 8 hear that is not good for him but he will waste the food if I don't put salt and pepper. He doesn't eat Dog indomie cos I bought a bag and it took and when I give him, it end up wasting, even when I add fish he picks out the fish and leave the indomie. Then I decided to be buying him take away from eatery but even that, he eats just the meat and moimoi .

Currently i feed him with Jojo crunchy and petovit soya dog food. He doesn't eat the Jojo, sometimes even for 2 days he will eat just small until I mix it with stew or fish or eba or amala and okra, I don't know if it's healthy. But for the petovit, he eats it even when it's very hot, maybe because I add fish when cooking it. He was eating just can food and milk until he was about 3 months before I took him away from my uncle's place, could it be that he is used to that.

Please I need a diet plan for him that is readily available and will help him grow big. I also want to ask cos someone told me there is somewhere I can buy chicken and turkey legs, intestine, head and leg for him.
