For the past 3 days I have decided to separate Marcus and Daisy, I switch them in cages cos I realize the least opportunity Marcus has, he's all over Daisy's vulva, locking her over and over and over...

Yesterday, Daisy started howling all through the night, I guess calling male suitors. I then decided to let Marcus play with her this morning and there was Daisy flagging. Since I have decided to skip her first heat which is 11 months now, I guess I had to chase Marcus in. See there recent pictures below.

Today marks Daisy's (formerly known as Max) 1st week with me. So far she has been adapting to her new environment, very playful, eats a lot, begs a lot but amazingly, very alert and active at all times.

Took her for checkup yesterday Tuesday July 26th, cos I was worried she wasn't seeing her heat at 11 months and wanted to run a fertility test on her, the vet advised not to and take chances so I decided to let it go.

Amazingly not long when we got home from her checkup, I noticed her urine was reddish, suspected it was her heat but wasn't sure until this morning when I saw her stains on the floor, she's quite a locker so I had to check to be sure. She's doing great and I'm skipping the first heat. Pictures below are pictures taken today...

He's a big boy. But I've got quality female which I intend breeding at the bitch's 2nd heat. She should have her first heat soon, though she's 11months old. And he's crossed a friend's female too, we are hoping for puppies by end of August.

I love my dogs sooo much. They are two - one male and a female. Though they are local dogs at birth, when you see them you wouldn't believe.

This recent situation in the country has made my dogs lean...lol it's not cos of that, it's because schools are on holidays now. You know what I mean ;-).

Even with the fact that they are lean, they are still elegant. Mannn...you would dash your dog out when you see mine.

The picture below is that of my female dog four years old taken TODAY. If you think your own dog is finer oya prove me wrong by uploading a recent picture of yours.

Also, if you want to see pictures of my male dog (that one is the finest in the world!!!), challenge me. Those dogs are worth a million dollars but I can't sell them .

Okay.... This is her 3rd day in her new home. So far, she's been warming up to members of the family and amazingly, she seems very alert and also defensive.

Today, she had her first bath and grooming, I think she hasn't had that in a long time but she felt really good at it. Quite a playful fella and a heavy eater.

Unfortunately, I discovered she doesn't have basic obedience training so I decided to take her through the first step today and trust me, she learning fast.

I'm loving her around the home as she is always alert on any intrusion.

And O... I changed her name to Daisy, I realized Max and Marcus(my male) sounds alike and both answers irrespective of who you call also kinda of cooler name.

So finally after much speculations and research, I decided to get Max, an 11 months Old female GSD.

According to the previous owner she was born on 15th August 2015 and fathered by an "Alpha Male". She first got into my house by 12:43pm on Tuesday July 19th,2016. As usual, she was scared for about 30minutes to 1 hr with her tail tucked in so I tried to make her comfortable by patting her head, massaging her ear and offering her treats. After she felt much comfortable, I decided to let out my White Male who is 1year and 8months old in so the could play around. They seem to be having much fun after about 1 hour of ass sniffing and kissing.

So by 2nd week in August, I'm giving her antirabis and final vaccination... Pictures attached

Hi guys, I have been looking for a female dog for a while now, I finally found one and it's really good breed, just what I've been looking for, we had concluded price and payments plan before I realized the person is in Ogbomosho. I'm in Lagos, Ajah. Does anybody know a secured way to get the dog to me here as he said he won't be able to deliver. I want to get the dog before he sells it off to someone who probably doesn't know the value. Thanks guys

We moved to our house @ ikorodu 3 weeks ago and with My female GSD and her only Son(I mean puppy). She gave birth to only one puppy tho'.
She's currently on Heat now. Today is the Third day of her Heat. I need a male Gsd that I can use to Cross her. I've not seen any Male GSD here where I stay.

One mistake ypu make is the floor most times is too cold for them, try not letting them send directly on the floor by placing sticks where they can stand on and play as well as doze off on. If possible, avoid direct contact with the floor. You can use paper tape to place card or board on the too of the basket and hang it up, then place sticks from one end to the other and see if that helps. All the best

Sorry about that Bro. How old is the dog? This happened when the sleep where they poop and piss. Flies perch on their faces an urine depositing tiny eggs which grows into larva (not maggots). Best way to treat such condition is first wash the cage or wherever your dog sleeps with hypo and disinfect with dettol, then take your dog out to to open, try to locate swollen lumps on the body indicating the presence of these larvae then apply palmoil on these spots(the palmoil forces the larvae to the top), remember to wear your gloves. Gently press them out until you are convinced they are all out, take your dog away and squash them. After that give your dog a bath with warm water mixed with dettol. Be ready to have your dog scream, it's normal. If you can do this and bath it with dettol for at least 2 times a week for 1 month, it should cure it. All the best.
