Hello Friends, The main objective of integrating RFID technology into health care systems is the tracking of people, medicines, samples and objects through the establishment. Patients and employees wear RFID wristbands or name tags to identify their location and relevant file information to the system's main controls. Medicines, samples, wheelchairs, medical equipment and other hospital instruments are labeled with RFID tags. Tagging the hospital's material and personnel allows a computer operator to quickly identify location and status. The materials going in and out of the hospital can be checked for quality, history and temporal relevance in order to assay where they need to go and why. Hello Friends, What is the process for tracking inventory in a large business? We use a CMMS software, but it is ran poorly. Any tips on streamlining the process would be greatly appreciated. Specifically tips on inventory storage; pda usage with tracking inventory; barcode systems with tracking inventory; RFIDs with tracking inventory; personal experience with inventory. Order of operation, flow chart, anything would be helpful, especially a web site link to an explanation of inventory and logistics. Thanks and Regards, Steven Shamar RFID inventory tracking |
Hello Friends, What is a new technology businesses use to save money? RFID? VoIP? I have been looking for an article on technology a business has used to save money. Such as hospitals and RFID tags, or some companies and VoIP such as Vonage. So my question is this, What are some new technologies that you know of that a company has used to save money? If you can find me an article with a reputable source that will be great! If not, please just list the technology and the company that you know that has saved money and I will research it on a database. Thanks In Advance, Steven Shamar vizbee-rfid.com |
Hello Friends, Will you except the microchip/RFID? Radio-frequency identification (RFID) is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders. An RFID tag is an object that can be stuck on or incorporated into a product, animal, or person for the purpose of identification using radiowaves. The RFID tag can automatically be read from several meters away and does not have to be in the line of sight of the reader. The current thrust in RFID use is in supply chain management for large enterprises. RFID increases the speed and accuracy with which inventory can be tracked and managed thereby improving logistical effectiveness while reducing logistical cost. Most RFID tags contain at least two parts. One is an integrated circuit for storing and processing information, modulating and demodulating a (RF) signal and perhaps other specialized functions. The second is an antenna for receiving and transmitting the signal. A technology called chipless RFID allows for discrete identification of tags without an integrated circuit, thereby allowing tags to be printed directly onto assets at lower cost than traditional tags. Hello Community, An inventory control system does far more than keep count. It is a tool that an organization uses in accounting, production planning, replenishment and forecasting. So, a company's accounting group, and operations, production and logistics departments all rely on accurate inventory control. An automated and software-based system provides the greatest accuracy and visibility; every employee and customer who is invested in the inventory may tap into a network-based system. Hello Community, Pharmacy technicians mix fluids, chemotherapy and feeding solutions for intravenous use under the direction of a pharmacist. The pharmacy technician must have good mechanical dexterity and a firm command of sterile procedures and techniques. Thanks and Regards, Steven Shamar vizbee-rfid.com |
Hello Guys, RFID (radio-frequency identification) microchips have revolutionized the tracking of supply chains. Tire manufacturers were some of the first adopters of RFID technology, even though tires pose special challenges to the use of RFID tags. Manufactured goods have historically been difficult to track through the distribution system to the point of sale. Product recalls have had to be broad and expensive, even if only a single batch was flawed. RFID tags can be read by a remote scanner, which does not need to be in physical contact nor have a line of sight. These tags can be used to efficiently track distribution of products.
