💔 WHY I STOPPED MARKING WAEC SCRIPTS The last time I marked WAEC scripts was in 2019 — and I still haven’t healed from it. I was given a little over 300 scripts to mark. Each script is filled with long theory questions — with sub-questions a, b, and c. It wasn’t a job. It was punishm€my. I spent two full weeks. Sleepless nights. Tired eyes. No weekends. No side work. No rest. Just me, a red pen, and a heavy heart. For every script I marked, I was paid ₦13. When you calculate it, it gave me just around ₦4,000. The rest of what made my total pay up to ₦13,000 was for so-called “logistics”: Transportation, corrections, and back-and-forth stress that I paid for with my strength and sanity. But in the end, what was left to take home? Nothing. Nothing but pa!n. I saw colleagues take multiple packs — 600… 900… even 1,200 scripts — not because they had the strength, but because they were desperate for more money as the pay per pack is small. And when the burden became too much, they handed the scripts to anyone who could help them meet the deadline — students, friends, and even non-teachers who didn’t understand the subject. Scripts were rushed. Wrong answers were ticked. Good students were failed. And no one will ever know what those children truly wrote. I looked at my pay, looked at my work, and I asked myself one painful question: Is this how a system kills both teachers and students silently? From that moment, I said never again. Not until there is real change. Not until they value our effort. Not until teachers are treated like human beings — not cheap machines. 📢 To every teacher who has marked WAEC scripts and felt this pain — Let this be your voice. Let this post be your cry. 📢 If you’ve ever spent nights marking, only to be insuIT€d with peanuts — share this. |
Thank you wike |
Tinubu will rather divide the country than give power to north |
In a nut shell, Nigeria is owned by the citizens of Nigeria including but not limited to the Igbos, Yoruba and Hausa ,Fulani. I was shocked after the Uromi saga, I hear some people willingly giving power to the Fulani tribe that they are the owner of Nigeria, but this not only false but insulting at the same time.

*Lend Me Your Ears And Eyes* *On the six months suspension of Sen Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghen* *Barr Meshack M.Nwigwe* (Primusology) In a nutshell, the suspension of Dist Sen Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghen is in contravention of the two principles of natural justice which posits *Audi Auterem patem* meaning (Hear from other party) as enshrined in section 36 of the 1999 constitution as amended 2011, and *Nemo judex incausa Sua* meaning (One can't be a judge in his own case). Furthermore assuming without conceeding the fact that the said suspension lacks Merrit, but assuming the senate committee is genuine and has the power to recommend a suspension for erring member, the pertinent question is does the senate has the constitutional power to suspend a member for a period of six months as seen in the case of Sen Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghen? The answer is in negative, because the position of the law as enshrined in section *21 of the Legislative Houses (powers & privileges) Act* ,a senator can't be suspended beyond 14days. Conclusively,Sen Akpabio by virtue of being a party or respondent to the petition lacks the power to preside over such petition because same is in contravention of the second arm of the natural justice principle (Nemo judex incausa Sua) supra. Sequel to the above argument I hereby affirm that the six months suspension is illegal and shall hold no water because you can't place something on nothing and expect same to stand *Ex-nihilo Nihil Fit* as such I demand that it be lifted with immediate effect with apology. Regards *Barr Meshack M.Nwigwe* (Primusology) |
