The sum of the first n term of a series
is given by:
Sn = 5n^2 - 2n
A sequence U1, U2, U3,........ is
defined by
Ur = Sr - Sr - 1
Express Ur in terms of r in its
simplest form and show that the
sequence is linear (a.p).

Find:
(1) the sum Sn of the of the first n
terms of the sequence whose
rth term is 4 x 2^-r
(ii) the value of n for which the
difference between S and 4 is
less than 10^-4
