CareerI Am Mad - What Should I Do by Straitofharmuz(op): 9:03am On Mar 25
Hi all, seeking opinions.

I'm currently employed with an FMCG company on the mainland, and I'll be completing my 3rd month as of March 31st, 2026. Despite being proactive in learning on the job (as there was no formal training provided upon my resumption), my output hasn't apparently met the GM's expectations. As a result, I was transferred from a branch I headed on the island to the head office late last month (February) for retraining, with the intention of sending me back to my former branch. Surprisingly, this evening my line manager called and gave me a referral number, informing me that I should call a friend of his in another company for a similar role. I'm unsure how to interpret this development - is it a sign that the company is preparing to let me go, or a genuine referral? Given the current economic climate, I'm anxious about potentially losing my job. Or should I resign honourably and seek alternative myself

Would appreciate your thoughts and guidance on this matter.
