PIOUS FELT A SURGED OF HAPPINESS AS HE LOOK OUT FROM THE WINDOW..., HIS EYES FIXATED IN THE RUNAWAY GUARDS AND MAIDS WHO WERE NOW IN THEIR WORKING POSITION...

His mood lightened, hope blooming inside him.., the light of the palace was now back.., the news of his return has spread like wide fire.., people were trooping in to serve him, pledging their alliances to him...

"What do you think of this...?

Pious quickly spun round to face Giselle, he chuckled when he saw the royal attire she was holding.... "That's....

"Lovely... "Giselle cut in with a smile..

"Yes.. "He said crisply with clenched teeth...

"I specifically ask the tailor to make you this..., you're going to be king today... "

Pious smile.., steadily, he drew closer to her and held her face...., his eyes roam on her face.., Her average frame and perfect body were like of a model. Her blue eyes, like the sea, were calm and emotionless. Long, wavy dark hair, so smooth and silky, almost as if it was tailored from gold fabric...

He suck his teeth, wallowing in regret of his words.., the harsh words he said to her....

"Am sorry... "He muttered gently, his tender hands still on her face...

He smile.., her heart was golden, the perfect girl no man will want to lose... "For getting mad.., for not trusting you when i had no reason to doubt... "

He crunched down to his knees before she could finish her statement... "Giselle..., please forgive me by becoming my wife... "

Giselle swelled with joy... "Are you proposing again...?

Pious chulkled... "Is there anything wrong in proposing twice....?

She smile and stood him to his feet.., she sealed the seed of forgiveness with a kiss...

She withdraw her lips with a smile... "You're crazy, but i love you... "

"I love you too.... "He muttered and resumed the kiss... ..
He drew her closer to himself and kiss her deeply.., slowly, he pulled away, their breathe against each other... "Let's get married after the coronation.... "

She poked her eyes.. "What., so soon.. "

"We can invite your friends.., a flight will be arranged to bring them here..., please, i can't wait anymore baby.. "

She shrugged, smile radiating round her gorgeous mouth.., she drew closer and kiss him again...

"Is that a yes...?

She nodded happily.....

A raw smile creep into Taka's cheek as he preen himself in the mirror...,he preen at the royal attire..

"You like it huh...? Francis ask adjusting the waist band is his trouser...

"Are you kidding...?, i love this dress.., it has a touch of royalty... "

Francis drew closer to him, he stare at his reflection in the mirror, his mind flash back to the night of the festival, the night his father died...

He huff, his palm gracing every inch of tte dress.., his brother was supposed to become king that morning..., those chiefs are bastards...

He shudder.. A raw fright swept through him.., when he remenbered Taka's words..

He sight heavily when he had an itch that something bad might happen..
He swallowed and shake off the thought ....

"Why do our dresses look alike...? Taka blared out..,his eyes fixated on Francis dress...

"Because we're brothers... "Francis said

Taka surged up with a smile..., he began to pose in different styles in front of the mirror... "Am a prince... "

"The battle is finally over... "Kahefa said as she arrange Zuru shirt collar...

Zuru sigh.. "Yes it is..., we did it, we avenged my brother's dead... "

Kahefa beem with a smile.. "I never knew we'll be able to pull this out... "

"Look at where we are now dear... "Zuru said.. "At last, my nephew is becoming the king, my brother will be so happy in his grave... "

Max nibbed his lip, he stare at Rose number on his phone, he dialled it and quickly end it before it could ring..
He huff, wondering what was wrong with him.., he bit his lips painfully that he almost wince.., he wonder why he keeps thinking of her.., thoughts about her invade his head day and night...,she was a married woman for God sake...

He sigh, a sight of frustration.., he crounched down to the bed and snorted...

He stood up again, look at his phone, he swallowed and gather up courage to call her..., he convinced himself it will just be a simple invitation.., no strings.., but was he ready to see her..., he recalled the effect she had on him the last time they were together.., when she held his hand....

He never thought he could feel this way for a woman, especially a married one...

He grunts when he remenbered her smile.., her sugaring dimples...

He puff, his eyes fixated on the phone...
He made up his mind and decided to chase his stupid but strange desires for a married woman out of the way...

With that firece momentum, he dared to dail her number...

With a throbbing heart, he waited patiently with an impatient deep intake....

His heart skipped when the call connected.., words eluded him when her voice came up...

"Hey.... "Rose muttered again from the other end..

"Hey... "Max replied shabbily

"Hasn't the coronation started yet...? Rose ask.., her voice clipped

Max scoffs... "I thought you didn't know about the coronation... "

"Who doesn't know about the coronation..., it's the talk of the town.. "

Max nibbed his lips and sat back on the bed.., he brushed his hair with his palm, his other hand holding the phone firmly... "So are you coming....?

There was slight pause, then Rose voice came up again... "Someone has to make preparations for the chief's burial, something you should be doing, as his son.. "

Max scoffs... "You had known for a long time I'm not..."

"The town thinks you are..."Rose snapped

Max giggled... "I avoided going to places with the chief to prevent been seen and introduced as his son.., so i don't think much people know am his son... "

"Mmm... "

"But preparations for the chief's burial shouldn't stop you from attending the coronation of the king of your land... "Max said

"Not my land.. "Rose corrected...

"As a friend to your husband then.... "

Max exhales at the silence that erupted from the phone..

"Mr Ferico and i don't really talk much... "Rose said after much silence..

Max sigh heavily.... "Seems you've made up your mind not to come... "

"Am sorry... "Rose said.... "Attending coronations is really not my thing.... "

"Alright then... "Max muttered, disappointment coated in his voice.... "I will... "He scrubed his brows... "Call you later... "

"Have fun.... "Rose said

"Yeah.... "
Not adding another word, he ended the call, and said... "You too.. "

Soft music was played in the great hall.., the great hall was filled up, with different types of people.., people came from far and near to grace the occasion...

Maids and guards were seen parading, many busy with other things..., seated at the front of the great hall, was Pious and the rest of the family.., the elders, both the greedy and the kind also sat down at the front, all merrying and rejoicing that finally light has come to Akpatu...

Dillan drew down his sweater hood as he joined in the mass crowd that was trooping into the palace...
Not giving a damn where the rest of the crowd was diverting to, he took another direction into the main building....

Antonia sigh, a sigh of relief as all the maids began to leave the kitchen, each heading to the great hall with trays of foods in their hands..

She yawn sluggishly, she carried her own tray of food, slowly, careful not to misstep, she stepped outside and began heading the same direction as the rest of the maids.. The great hall..

Just then a hand grabbed her.., shocked, she turn her face to see the person..

Dillan adjusted his black sweater hood so she could see his face...

"Your majesty....

"Shhh... "Dillan quickly silent her....
With anger eating deep in his eyes, he said.... "Do you still remember the plan...?

She nodded in fear...

"Good.... ,don't think of disappointing me, i employed you, i can unemploy you by killing you... "

Fear streaked Antonia... "I will do as you say your majesty... "

"And remenber..., don't think of telling anyone about our plans.., remenber you're doing this to protect your family, one mistake and your father, your deranged mother and little brother will be killed, do you understand what i just said...?

"Yess.... ,yes your majesty... "

"Good... "
