I don't think that you understand the meaning of the word "understand". "Artificial Intelligence" is nothing more than a parrot at this stage. It can search the huge information database of cyberspace and come up with answer based on the Markov algorithm that was imprinted it during training but it cannot reason with that information in any way.
While AI uses concepts related to the Markov algorithm in some aspects—such as in probabilistic models and decision processes—it primarily operates through neural networks that mimic the structure and functioning of the human brain, allowing it to learn patterns, adapt to data, and solve complex problems far beyond the scope of traditional algorithms.

AI doesn't understand in the real sense of the word like humans do. But AI understands concepts enough to generate answers and engage in intellectual conversations.

Modern AI models like GPT-4 can:
Recognize complex patterns in language.
Generate coherent, relevant, and context-aware responses.
Discuss abstract topics like philosophy, math, ethics, etc.

AI learns and adapts to us too. please give AI the Poincare conjecture P vs NP problem to solve. I want to confirm something
AI can already understand and explain the Poincaré Conjecture (which was solved by a human), but even humans haven’t solved P vs NP—and with the rise of Artificial Superintelligence (ASI), that breakthrough will come. Just dey watch...

How does one do oral defence with mathematics or engineering
All mathematics and engineering problems will henceforth be handled by AI. Students should only be tested for holistic grasp of concepts.
Nothing can be done. Just like when calculator was invented, humans stopped doing calculations manually

Why not replace written paper submission with oral defence so the ideas are forced to pass through the brain of the the students and not just from Internet to paper.

PoliticsRe: Importation Is Not Killing Our Economy Lack Of Export Is by Streamz: 7:07pm On Jun 01, 2025
i asked Chat gpt this is the response:

✅ Valid Points in Your Reasoning
Imports don’t kill economies—lack of exports does

Correct.

Trade imbalances become a problem only when a country consistently imports more than it exports without building value or capacity.

Many wealthy countries (e.g., Germany, China, USA) are both heavy importers and exporters. They import inputs and export finished goods, maintaining a trade strategy that adds value.

Comparative advantage matters

Your argument that "just because we can produce something doesn’t mean we should" is rooted in comparative advantage theory.

If it costs Nigeria more to produce something than to import it, importing is better for consumer welfare and overall efficiency.

Import duties can backfire

Absolutely true.
Protective tariffs are useful only when nurturing strategic industries with a real chance of becoming globally competitive.

Imposing duties on essential raw materials like steel, aluminium, and fabric—where we lack competitive production—raises production costs for local industries and kills growth.

Importing inputs is critical to exporting finished goods

100% accurate.

Export-led economies (like China, Vietnam, Germany) import massive amounts of raw materials or components, assemble and add value, then export.

Some protectionism can be justified (like rice)

This is a balanced view. Protecting sectors like rice (where local conditions are favorable) can help food security and rural employment, if done strategically.

South-south at 35m, hoping to be like Dubai with $40bn exports, will still be shocked at their poverty
Now imagine 220m Nigerians thinking hey should be Duabi ontop $40bn oil export plus $5bn non-oil exports, raging poverty is the result.

Until our exports hit $500bn before we should expect any reasonable wealth
