justi4jesu: SO WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VISIT VISA AND TOURIST VISA??

They are both entry permits for visitors to UAE, the difference is mostly to do with who sponsors the visitor, the cost and whether the visa is renewable or not.

Let"s see:

VISIT VISA: Available to all nationalities (except Israeli passport holders) and sponsorship is done through a UAE based company, a UAE local or a UAE residence visa holder with qualifications to sponsor.

Application for sponsorship through a UAE residence visa holder is very easy if the visitor is a first degree relative (mother, father, son, daughter, husband,wife, brother or sister).

Second degree relatives will probably require special permission from the immigration department.

Requirements :

A Dubai residence visa holder getting a monthly salary of not less than AED 4000 or AED 3000 + Accommodation.

Documents that are required are; passport copy, photo,salary certificate,tenancy contract and data including address of home country. If the sponsor is a relative, additional documents might be requested such as attested birth certificate, relationship proof attested from the embassy

(Thats in case relationship cannot be proved from family names on relative's passport). Validity to stay in the country depends on the type of visa.short term is valid for 30days and renewable.or long stay valid for 90days .

CAN ONE SPONSOR FRIENDS ON VISIT VISA Sponsoring a friend is possible only under certain conditions; higher monthly salary like a minimum figure of AED 10000 and under limited number of professions. Visit visa application might be difficult if the sponsor is male and the visitor is unrelated female or vice versa.

FEES: Fees for short term visit visa depends on the airline ranging from 83 - 100dollars and for long term visit visa also. Also a refundable deposit of AED 6000upwards is paid to the sponsor. The mentioned deposit amount can be reimbursed after the visit visa holder has left or exited the country.

TOURIST VISA: Available to all nationalities (except Israeli passport holders) and must be prearranged usually through sponsorship by an airline, Travel agent or hotel based in the UAE. Validity to stay in the country is 30 days and renewable once only for similar period (30 days). You can arrange for anyone this visa, also a relation is not an issue.

Required Documents:

Passport copy and photo and a deposit of 5000 TO 8000AED which has to be deposited to the sponsor and reimbursed after the tourist visa holder leaves country.

Alternatively you can book/reserve hotel during your full stay and you dont have to pay any deposit!

justi4jesu: Etihad is less expensive than Emirates, the only difference is that Etihad flies from Lagos to Abu Dhabi and afterwards you follow a shuttle couch from Abu dhabi straight to Dubai while Emirates brings you directly to Dubai Airport...thats the only difference but its nice with etihad because you tend to have a view of the city on your way from the airport down to Dubai..the journey lasts for 1 to 2hours max.

Yes make sure its 1month extendable visa because you are coming in search of a job and incase you dont get any job within 1month then you can extend it and remain in the Uae and also continue searching.

justi4jesu: If the visa is gotten from the airlines like you have been advised to, they will definately give you want you have requested and not otherwise.Because there is 1month visa which cannot be extendable when you arrive dubai and there is 1month visa that can be extendable whilst you are in dubai. Then when you get to dubai, you can confirm at Hyatt to clear yourself from any doubt. But if it is gotten from some wicked agents, In most cases they could provide you with just 1mnth non-extendable visa. Its your source that matters.
