alakara:No Sir, I won't. Just that I don't know how the group is going to be managed for now. Maybe I would say it's a bit scary. Thanks. |
4Gsmokei:My pleasure Sir. Thanks. |
blessedqueen:Nice one ma'am. Bravo. Thanks. |
Please, while producing your coconut oil, kindly follow my instructions, avoid addition of too much water. For an average size of coconut, a glass of water or one and half should suffice. And hope you know it's not only the oil that's of use. K, if I have the grace I may show us other method and other things on coconut oil later. Thanks. |
4Gsmokei:Heyllo Sire, nice job.... You've got no worries. The only observation is that the water hasn't gone off completely before you put of the heat. You may yet boil it. However, we can apply another method (fermentation): kindly allow it to sit for some hours for the oil to come up more. Then you can quietly separate your oil from the milk. Obviously, by drinking it you know the essence and health benefits of coconut oil. That's just the advantage of doing it your self......no worries of additives while taking it. Thanks. |
Afoskalex:Yes Sir, you can also buy the synthetic one from a beauty or chemical shop. Thanks. |
4Gsmokei:Oooops! When did you make it? Kindly state your procedures and the look of what you have right now, so I can know where it went wrong.....wait a minute, hope you've not discarded it. Please don't. Just answer my questions first. Thanks. |
blessedqueen:A very big amen Ma'am! Really good to know you've prepared yours already. I'm impressed. Thanks. |
Shininstar30:My pleasure Ma'am and amen to your prayers. Thanks. |
ebonynelly:Amen to your prayers ma'am. Uhmm, kindly let me know when you get the ebooks and I will send you the special hair recipe as bonus. Thanks. |
idinmachi:Amen Sir. They are not the same by function but yes, they are all essential oil (and they smell differently). Thanks. |

EXTRACTION OF COCONUT OIL There are two basic methods we can use to extract oil from fresh coconut: the cold method and heat(ing) method. Though I prefer the first method because it helps to retain the natural properties of the nut. However, for the sake of some of us who might not have access to blender, I think we should just go for the second method which anybody can carry out at home with basic house hold items. Uhmmm, where do I start from now? K, I'm sure no one here needs to be taught how to break coconut shell, good. 1. Once the shells are off and you have the main flesh, get a local or manual grater and grate into pieces. (Blender would help if you have one, you soak and allow to soften then blend). If you have a small mortal and pestle at home, you can as well pound into pieces. Guess it's eaysier. 2. Now, I assume the grated coconut is now poured into a clean bowl. 3. Add some water to the ground coconut and stir very well together. depending on the size of the coconut. Average size, you can add like 1 - 1and 1/2 cup(s) of water. (It's almost the same process used in making coconut milk drink, so no big deal). 4.Now, you have a milky kind of mixture. Get a sieve, you can use any piece of clean cloth preferrably, get the kind of clothe they use in sieving or filtering pap. Place the clothe (sieve) over another clean bowl and pour the mixture into it in order to sieve the milky water and leave the chaff behind in the clothe. 5. Once you have been able to get the milky water, place the bowl containing the milk on a low heat and gradually stir as it heats up till it's boiling. With time, the water goes off and you begin to see something like oil mixed with the milky liquid. Once the oil becomes visible, remove from heat and allow to cool. Just allow the mixture to stand for some hours after which you'll notice the oil coming up......calmly and quitely bend the container to decant the oil into another clean container. Finally, you have your coconut oil. That's it, go make your own coconut oil. Thanks. |
Yes, in I will try and show us how to manually extract oil from cocoa nut in order to have a pure and natural cocoanut oil. Please stay tuned and hope you all have been working with your inks and papers. Thanks. |
I sincerely appreciate all your commendations and I say a big amen to your prayers. God bless you all too. Thanks. |
Please, I encourage us to drop our questions here except considered too personal. Be patient if you send and email, my week already began like this. Long day, short nights...lols. May God bless our efforts. Wish you all a great week. Amen. Thanks. |
Your enhancers: these are meant to be all natural but sorry, I can't guarantee that these days. Do your self a big favor to get from a reputable beauty shop. 1. Cocoa butter 2.Palm kernel oil (P.K.O) 3.Essential oil(s). E.g lavender oil, lemon grass oil etc 4. Camwood Cocoa butter is a good moisturizer and has a lot of healing effects on the skin....fights eczema, stretch marks etc Lavender oil........has a therapeutic and healing effect, treats sun burn. Lemongrass: also has healing effect, works better against acne and the rest. Generally speaking, any essential oil will add great value to our black soap apart from their good scent (smell). Camwood: k, for anyone who cares or wants a good looking skin, this powder is a great deal for you. Can't tell you all about this wonderful powder but please go ask more about this powder to know better. Helps fight wrinkles, gives a soft -smooth looking skin. Has an anti aging property etc. Just imagine the presence of this wonderful powder in combination with turmeric powder in your black soap! Finally, your black soap already contains PKO but additional drops makes it rich. This is where we draw the curtains on black soap. Trust me, if you can put this little information together you are set to have a standard black soap that works wonders. Go and make your money. Feel free to ask any question. Thanks. |
blessedqueen:Ma'am, it's not the cocoa pod that you need, it's the liquid gotten from the pod. The cocoa pod is usually burnt into ashes then processed into liquid. The black soap seller know how it's done. Just ask from them and you'll be given. Thanks. |
ENHANCERS: I have earlier told us we're not going to learn production of black soap from the scratch, however, everything learned here is close to scratch and much more with great benefits as opposed to the traditional black soap. Black soap naturally contains a lot of healthy ingredients and can be used by anyone. So, just adding one or two liquid bought from the same seller can turn the raw black soap powder into useful paste and ready for use on the go. One of the few things I want to quickly talk about as we bring this lesson to an end is the fact that all skins are not the same. Your skin type can actually influence the effectiveness of the soap you use. As far as our black soap is concerned, it's good for all skin types but consider this: Black soap cleanse the skin deeply more than any other kind of soap, that's why it's a good hair shampoo anytime, an ideal soap for someone with an oily skin right? Ideally, you are either of the dry skin type or oily type. Which ever one you belong, the extreme is not permitted. You see, a good dermatologist wouldn't recommend a soap/cream for you without the consideration of your skin type. The mixing of the black soap into paste is locally done by the sellers most times but the knowledge of what you want can help you maximize the raw soap. I think that's all we've been trying to learn here. We can go all natural as we want but we can as well tap into available synthetic ingredients that meet our need with little or no side effect at all to balance up. This is where you take total control. Unlike the so called natural products you have out there with lots of synthetic ingredients yet advertised as 'all natural', lols. Here, you are in charge. Like some one asked I think on the previous page, 'can we make our black soap into solid form like a particular soap?' Yes, why not? But do you still want to go all natural? Then how solid do you want it? K, that's the question. To cut the story short, the use of enhancers helps meet various needs of our skin type...... so, that's what we are going to be looking at shortly. So, we look at the enhancers both natural and synthetic. Please stay tuned. |
I promise to give us more tips on how to enhance the quality of our black soap with the help of some enhancers, I will be doing that later, please stay tuned and make good use of your pen and paper. Meanwhile, my sincere apologies to those I have not been able to respond to their emails, I shall do that today. HAPPY SUNDAY Thanks. |
motemi111:OOooops! Sorry please, that was a mistake. kindly add the turmeric after the corn starch.....A very brilliant student spotted. I wonder what others have been noting down, how come nobody else saw this? hmmmmm. Thanks. |
gtswt:It's alright ma'am. Please feel free to contact me in your next production, let's do it together. I promise to be of help where possible. Thanks. |
Juliana7:Amen ooo, smiles. Uhmm ma'amn, there's nothing special about double boiler. Double boiler is a means or method of using two pots (boilers) of different sizes together as one. The bigger one usually contains water while the smaller one contains the main substance to be boiled or melted. The bigger one containing water is placed directly on fire while the smaller one containing the main substance in question is inserted into the bigger one. This is to avoid direct heat on the item (substance) to be melted or boiled. I don't know if that's clear enough though. Yes, the 1/2 spoon of nutmeg works, it doesn't make any difference. But if you feel like increasing it, feel free to use a spoon. Thanks. |
afisofavour:Yes, very well Ma'am. You may only consider the lime, lemon and turmeric. Stick to 1 spoon each for babies below 3 years. And amen to your prayers. Thanks. |
godello:Sure Sir. We can, but it's not part of this lesson that's why we are not going to talk about it. Thanks. |
maakie:My pleasure Ma'am. Yes, from the same people that sell black soap. The turmeric powder can be gotten as explained above (beauty shops, shoprite etc). Your recipe is also a nice one ma but try this one out and you'll see the difference. Thanks. |
nobledeals:Thanks so much ma'am. Yes, that's it! Please, if you know it by any other local name kindly drop it to help others. I think we should be using this method of uploading pictures now. Some things are what we know and even have them around us but because we really don't know them by the english name, they are appear rear or non existent to us. God bless you ma. Thanks. |
I will definitely give some suggestions and safe additives that we can use to enhance the quality of our black soap later. If you have any question just drop it here, I will be checking at every free time to respond to questions. Thanks. |
