Hmmm. Maybe because the government just needed to say something, you know if they don't say something, people will think they are not proactive or they're not working on the issue.

So, they have to come up with something, at least, to make us see them or believe they are ontop of the situation. smiley smiley

Op,how about investing on crypto, let's say 10k every day instead of saving it on fiat.

I trust you never felt the heat of reality, that's why you started with 10k daily savings.

If I can save #10 k a day, then I'm a billionaire already, because before you save,u must have earned double of what you want to save

Hahaha. I have even almost forgotten I created a thread like this.

Well, I have a project ongoing and almost at a finishing level now, thanks to the saving method.
Which one is the heat of reality again though?

As regards investing the money eh, bro don't let me start telling my experience but let me just give 2 instances that happened right here on nairaland and I am sure I wasn't the only victim.

1. Someone talked to me about forex trading and promised a serious return, I declined and told him I don't like doing invisible businesses, I am into physical businesses and I am good at that, also doing well.
This fellow persisted that I should just give him a trial, I gave him 450k at first, he later complained about heavy data usage which he said was causing alot of set back.
Note that I only agreed to his proposal after telling me to open the account myself and fund it and only give him an investor password (can't even recall what exactly that was called though), which will give me the leverage of claiming my account should things go south.

I decided to wire him another 50k for data and told him that will be for a year and he agreed.

Fast forward, account went big at one time then the next thing was that account crashed grin grin grin

Where do we go? He promised to refund the account and trade it back with profits for us, till tomorrow, nothing has come out of that. Hahaha.

After all said and done, he pleaded and even made me to start pitying him, to the extent that I still had to assist him with some cash much later.
That was enough lesson right?

Please, let's forget the second one because everyone here will think I am "stupid " cheesy cheesy cheesy

Now, my heart is so guided that no one can pull me into such things again. Abeg o, I no do crypto. Ese gan

Eya, I know that feelings. Seriously bro, if you want me to tell you the truth eh, nothing anyone will say right now that will make sense to you but trust me on this, you are the only one that can pull yourself out of that feelings and it's not going to happen overnight, slowly with time, you will be fine.

When I lost my mum, it was very tough for me to move on. I kept getting mad at everything, sometimes I felt like blaming her for even dying. I mean like, I felt she left intentionally.

Nothing seemed to make sense to me, the worst thing anyone would say to me then were stuffs like: "you are a man, you have to compose yourself, I know how you feel ( imagine someone who hasn't lost his mum telling me such thing)"

I cried many nights and I was always indoor. Even uptill now, I sometimes still feel bad once I allow the thought occupy my mind.

Sometimes I put the blame on God, I asked why he didn't save my mum from dying? I was almost losing my trust in God and my belief was under serious attack.
I thank God I came off it though.

So bro, it's understandable but please remember the following:

-No matter the pains we subject ourselves to, they can't bring mum back to life

- Some people say time heals all wounds but I do like to say God heals us of all hurt, not time.

- Those who are dead are free from the worries and troubles of this world.

- They are actually in a better place (this depends on their beliefs and relationships with their maker though).

I realised that we can't prevent some things because they're simply beyond our control. This doesn't mean God has stopped being God. Let go of the questions you have no answers to, so that you won't be putting more burden on your heart.

I pray that God will give you the fortitude to bear this great loss bro.

Food / Re: Cooking Or Eating Out As A Single Person? Which Is More Cost Effective? by Strongbest(m): 5:44am On May 26, 2022
tesppidd:
Lol, i disagree!

There are very many places you could eat good food. Not necessarily those thieving eateries all over the place. (went to eat rice and chicken on easter eve at one Genesis in PH and they charged me 3,500. just rice and chicken oohh. Na Gold dem take cook am?)

I know very good restaurants here in PH were you can eat very good food for 800 to 1k. I mean very delicious and well made.

Even at home quality varies. It doesn't necessarily mean because you call it "home made" food then it must be good food.

i tell you solemnly, some people's home made foods are still worse than the mama put you talked about.

So i insist, FOR ONE PERSON, it cheaper to eat very quality food outside than to make the same very quality food at home.
(When you have to buy the complete ingredients, the proteins, the gas, the oils, the tomatoes, etc)

When it comes to family cooking or cooling for 3 or more then it becomes more economical to cook at home. You will not use different gas na, you buy in bulk and the ingredients can be managed.

Well, all man to himself o. If you checked properly, I said eatery. I don't do Mama Put and I will never do them, I have my reasons for that.

You see, any food you eat outside put you at alot of risks. Just to make you have a little understanding of what I am saying; eating outside is one dangerous thing, as the environment where such foods are cooked can be an eyesore, infact, everything about outside food is dangerous.

The eateries on the other hand are a bit bitter than mama put in terms of hygiene and all. This ones try as much as possible to maintain some high standard of hygiene because it's not usually a one man enterprise. People from different arena work with them and may expose them, should they engage in any form of diabolical act and unhygienic practices.

For instance, Mr. Biggs, Chicken Republic, Tanterlizer etc they will do all possible to avoid any dirty practice.

In most local restaurants anything goes. Most of them will cook in a cockroach and rat infested environment. Any of these things could have many time be falling into their soup: lizards, rats, cockroaches will fall into their soups and they will just take them out and continue serving grin grin grin grin

Sorry, I am sorry, bye.

For one person eating out is more cost effective.

But for three or more, cooking is more cost effective.

Sit down today and think about eliminating that unnecessary carbonated drink you take everyday and start saving that money, then you will see how much you get after a month.

I have someone that can take upto 2 bottles of coke each day. A bottle is N150 and if you're taking 2 daily, that is like N300 daily. Funny enough, these drinks are not so good for your health.

N30 ×30 days = N9,000.
Now, N9,000 × 12 = 108k you are spending 100k annually on coke and you still say you're poor cheesy

Decide you won't take coke this week and keep that 9k monthly, you won't die.

Check through to see those little unnecessary things you spend money on and eliminate and keep that money, you will see how much is slipping through your fingers yearly.

Business / Re: Becoming A Millionaire Is Very Easy, Follow My Idea by Strongbest(m): 5:23pm On May 17, 2022
Some of us here are Millionaires but you don't know yet because you haven't sat down once to look at how much you spend on unnecessary things.

There was a time I used to eat out frequently and sometimes, I would even go with one or two friends. I didn't really care at all then, because I felt it was easy and less stressful just walking into eateries and eat anything than going through the stress of cooking and all.

All of that changed the day my cousin paid me a week visit.

She wasn't the eating out type and she preferred home cooked foods than eatery thing. We stocked the kitchen with just a little above 50k and 1month after she left, I still had alot left.

I discovered I was spending so much eating out and I didn't even realise it. I would spend close to 4k on each meal and sometimes much more, especially the days I would visit my favourite eatery more than 2 times. The eatery is just a stone throw away from my former house, so I felt so much in love with the easy and expensive life.

The picture below is one of th pictures I took after I took out the savings for just a month plus.

I opened a new account with one of the banks, specifically for the savings. I will transfer the amount I envisage I would have spent on eating out after the end of each day, into the account.

I refused to collect ATM card for the account, once the money is enough to do something on my project, I go there and cash out and get the things needed.

Business / Becoming A Millionaire Is Very Easy, Follow My Idea by Strongbest(m): 5:08pm On May 17, 2022
I used to think becoming a Millionaire was a big deal and something very difficult to achieve but na, it's not as difficult as many of us might have thought.

Let me just share this simple step with you and if you will follow, you will realise also that becoming a Millionaire isn't anything tough at all.

First of all, you must have a genuine and legit business you are doing.

Secondly, you must be ready to discipline yourself.

If the above are in place, then do the followings:

1. Save 10k daily or weekly depending on your kind of business and look away.

2. If you save 10k ten times, you would have saved100k

3. Repeat the same process and save 100k ten times as well.

That is it, you have saved upto a million naira.

Becoming a Millionaire is as simple as described above.

Now, let's assume you save 10k daily, it means you would have saved 100k in just 2 weeks.

So, if you have saved 100k in just 2weeks, it means it will take you only 20weeks to save 100k 10times, which gives you a Million naira. Meaning, in 5months or less, you can save your first million naira.

This isn't tough at all, it's easy I bet.
