I will like to share a true life experience that is happening now.

My wife's brother-in law who is a pastor in RCCG was offered an employment in one of the leading MNL brewery company but contemplating on taking it up. His reason was it is against his faith. I argued that so long you are not going to be taking their products I don't see anything bad in it. Here is a man that really needs to change his job because of his current state of living which is not good at all.

So, I will like you to advice if I am the one that is wrong or him. Because I am of the opinion that whether you are a Muslim or Christian faithful working in such industry is not against one's faith.

But brother let us look at it this way;
(1) Suppose a village boy decides to work for a known spell or jazz herbalist for some income with the sole responsibility to gather herbs and other mixture and this herbalist is known for evil spells and destruction of other humans which himself claims. Will it be right to go ahead on the premise that ''SO LONG HE DID NOT PARTAKE IN PUTTING THE MIXTURE TOGETHER AND MAKING INCANTATIONS TO DESTROY PEOPLES LIFE, IT IS RIGHT TO HELP THE MAN ONLY''.

(2) Same example can be said, if you come to know somehow that a particular group are involved in armed robbery. And you are approached to be their supplier of arms. SHALL WE ARGUE THAT SO LONG AS I AM NOT INVOLVED IN THE ACTUAL ROBBERY, THEN THERE IS NOTHING BAD IN THIS.

(3) And there are many more examples.

Therefore, tobacco and alcohol(sin or not) have been confirmed to have more negative effect than positive both to the individual human involved in its consumption and the society at large. Moreso,some christians have argued that the bible does not explicitly regards consuming alcohol a sin. But my suggestion is that they should look at it this way;
(1)If God in his scriptures does not call a particular thing a sin outrightly BUT, CURSES ANYONE WHO PARTAKE IN THAT THING. Shall we still go ahead to do such thing?

Indeed, it's something easier said than done. Easier to do for some.....difficult for the others. We can only keep advising ourselves. That's one good thing as a reminder in this section. That's something other religious section lacks.

We definitely can not be 100% as our ego tends to take the best of us. Our prophet (Allah's blessings and peace be upon him and his household) was also human with blood and flesh but wahi subdued his nafs.

As for we, it takes a gut to talk to our ego to calm down. It doesnt matter how much knowledge one acquires. It's not our fault. It's just one of the many Signs of Allah's superiority over us. He ctreated the thing inside of us also as a test. Constant reminder like this one is A+.

Really there is no way this kind of sectarian and inter-faith dialogue will not come up among ourselves sometimes. Even in day-to-day life activities we do have difference of opinion.
Interestingly, Qur'an enjoins it but however warns the manner and approach to such a delicate issues as its easily incite hatred. That is where we should laid more emphasis on.
