Speaking well of your country when you know your country is moving in wrong direction. It's a sign of unpatriotism. It's tantamount to lying to yourself. People are on the streets of France protesting for the good of their country today but in Nigeria it is an aberration to protest, APC and her supporters will turn you to an enemy of the country. How would a country move forward when leaders are not charged to their responsibilities when they do wrong?

There's a lot of clear difference between saying things as it is and protecting your leader or party. You need differentiating the two. It's hypocritical to think you're saying good about your country when in your inner and churchmind you're only protecting your leader and the party you support.
