Jobs/Vacancies › Thank You Nairaland - Got A CoolFM Job! by suala(op): 10:38pm On Sep 27, 2009 |
I want to thank Nairalanders for helping me in getting my present job. Its been a year now,and i felt that sharing my experience will encourage other nairalnders. When i finished my service in 2006,i was always visiting nairaland to look for job openings. I intoduced my sister who later got a job at firstbank after getting an info on vacancies in the bank from nairaland. A couple of my friends also got lucky. I was invited 4 an interview last year in Lagos by CoolFM,but couldnt get the office adress cos the liine was breaking. I live in PH and didnt know anywhere in Lagos. So i blogged on Nairaland telling people my problem. The response was surprising. One asked me to call the line again requesting for their office adress. Silly me,i never thought of that. I did that, got the adress, went to Lagos. I got the job and i'm now a pioneer staff of their PH branch. I thank nairaland for helping me. Job seekers, should never give up. |

bien: Cane made me hate Maths. My Maths teacher always places his cane beside him before introducing each topic.Anyone that got below fifty in his Maths tests always got severe lashes.I guess that was the beginning of my major turnoff for maths. its true cane also made me hate maths. imagine getting a beating every other day because you fail maths. i dont subscribe to caning as a means of teaching or discipline for that matter. |

Travel › Amnesty International Indictes Nigeria For Its Human Rights Record by suala(op): 4:15pm On Jun 01, 2008 |
The amnesty international report indicting Nigeria of its human rights record may have some element of truth in it. Rumour has it that the driver who instigated the kidnapping of an ex-Agip oil worker's children last month was executed by members of the security personel without charging and prosecuting him. This is a demcratic nation. Extrajudicail killings must stop. why do we have law courts when we cant use them. various cases of criminals being executed even before their relatives hear about their arrests is a common phenomenon nowadays. what do nairalanders think. is the police right in these illiegal killings or what. |
