Good Morning Good People of Nairaland, please I need your help ooooooo, Yesterday afternoon my GBWhatsApp was temporary ban and in the follow up message it said I should Download MAIN WhatsApp that the main reason they Temporary Ban my GBWhatsApp is that am using Third Part WhatsApp. So after they lifted the Ban I Downloaded the Main WhatsApp and Register with it and using it, but the Main problem now is that if either I have flat battery and my phone off or I Switch off my phone or I restart My phone the main WhatsApp I Downloaded and Installed will disappear and will not be in My Phone again. I later Downloaded some Apps into my phone to see if they too will disappear if I switch off or restart my phone but they will not disappear, it's the only Main WhatsApp that Will disappear from my phone. Please what could be the reason and again is there any other WhatsApp that's save apart from GBWhatsApp. Thanks. |
Yoruba language is quite popular in the world, ask around. And now, Manchester United legend David Beckham has used the Nigerian language to help spread an important message to Nigerians and billions more around the world in a campaign he just started. Beckham, who was among the famous ‘Class of ’92’ that formed the core of the Red Devils team that dominated the Premier League in the ’90s as well as made a mark in Europe, launched the world’s first ever voice petition to end malaria in which he has encouraged people to say ‘Malaria Must Die’. “Malaria isn’t just any disease. It’s the deadliest disease ever been,” said Beckham in the clip. The former England midfielder went on to deliver the rest of his message in other languages with the aid of state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence video synthesis. “It is said to have killed half of the people that have ever lived and it still kills a child every two minutes. We can end it. we have the knowledge and the opportunity. We just need more action, we need to make the world’s leaders pay attention…” Beckham added. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QiiSAvKJIHo It is understood that the message was delivered in this manner to buttress the point of malaria being a global problem which the world must stand up to fight in order to prevent the dangerous disease from getting the better of humanity. In statistics by the World Health Organization (WHO), malaria kills around 435,000 people a year, largely in Africa, with children aged under five making up 61 percent of deaths. In its latest “World Malaria” report, the WHO estimated there were 219 million cases of malaria in 2017, up from 217 million in 2016, and warned the global response had stalled despite a United Nations’ global goal to end the disease by 2030. Beckham, who is the first English player to win league titles in four countries: England, Spain, the United States and France, has been involved in other campaigns with global organisations previously. He has been a UNICEF UK ambassador since 2005, and in 2015 he launched 7: The David Beckham UNICEF Fund. Then in 2014, Major League Soccer announced that Beckham and a group of investors would own an Inter Miami CF, which will begin competing in 2020.

The simple life! Jimmy Carter, 94, lives in the same $167,000 two-bedroom ranch house he built before his presidency, costs taxpayers a quarter of what Bill Clinton does - and washes his own dishes after home-cooked meals Former President Jimmy Carter has opened up about his surprisingly simple life in a small Georgia town. Carter, 94, spoke to the Washington Post about his decision to return to the 700-strong town of Plains, Georgia after his presidency rather than cashing in on his political fame. 'I don't see anything wrong with it; I don't blame other people for doing it,' Carter told a reporter after inviting them into his home earlier this month. 'It just never had been my ambition to be rich.' Instead of making money from corporate speaking and joining the boards of big companies as his predecessor Gerald Ford had, Carter returned to the town where he was born and went from being a peanut farmer to the White House. According to the Democratic President, his financial affairs were in tatters when he left the White House - Carter was President from 1977 to 1981. Returning to Plains at 56, he came back to a peanut business that was $1million in debt and was forced to sell. Carter decided that his income would come from writing, and he has since written 33 books on a variety of subjects - although not as successfully as modern Presidents. On top of his writing revenue, the 39th President of the United States also commands a $210,700 annual pension which all former presidents receive. But despite his sizeable income, Carter said he was determined to live a modest life in the south Georgia township. In fact, Carter costs US taxpayers the least of any former US President according to the General Services Administration. The total bill for him in the current fiscal year of $456,000, covering pensions, an office, security staff and other expenses. Meanwhile Barack Obama, Bill Clinton and George W. Bush all racked up bills of more than $1million last year. Carter is also the only president in the modern era to return full-time to the house he lived in before he entered politics - a two-bedroom cottage assessed at $167,000. Carter survived a health scare in 2015 after being diagnosed with melanoma on his liver and brain But now, after radiation and chemotherapy, Carter says he is cancer-free. He says he takes great pride in 'staying active' and doing the dishes after every meal. And in addition to his humble home-life, Carter still finds time to teach Sunday school at the Maranatha Baptist Church on the edge of town every fortnight. According to locals there are queues around the block sometimes even starting the night before. 'We feel at home here,' Carter says. 'And the folks in town, when we need it, they take care of us.' Asked whether he believes any future ex-President will live as simply as he does, Carter replied: 'I hope so. But I don't know.'
