Politics / Re: Igwe Charles Nwoye Is Not The Tradition Ruler Of Amurri Kingdom by Succor(m): 7:55pm On Jan 08, 2019
The writer is either ill informed or he is ignorant. What is Autonomous? Autonomous from what?. The fact is that there was Amurri Kingdom under HRM Igwe David Onwe. Other communities within the kingdom sought autonomy from "Amurri" and it was granted. The three entities broke out from Amurri throne and they want the entity they broke out from to be referred to as autonomous as well. Where is that done? Let me use Biafra secession effort to drive home my point. If today Biafra is allowed to go "to be autonomous" from Nigeria, will Biafra stop Nigeria from being Nigeria? The three villages namely Amankanu, Umuigbo and Eziokwe that sought for autonomy and was granted respectively, should not think that the main Amurri, which never sought for autonomy should be regarded as such. It is even more laughable when I recalled as a boy when people from Amankanu would say that they were going to Amurri when the former Igwe invited them to the palace. So what has changed? Amurri you never felt you were part of, sought for autonomy so that you can be on your own, and it was granted. The Igwe of Amurri Kingdom is HRM Igwe Charles Egbo Nwoye, Obioha II of Amurri who succeeded HRM Majesty, Igwe David Onwe, Obioha I of Amurri. The autonomous communities are Amankanu Autonomous Community, Eziokwe Autonomous Community and Umuigbo autonomous community. The writer should also find out from the Enugu State that Amurri Kingdom which HRM Igwe Charles Nwoye is the traditional ruler IS NOT AN AUTONOMOUS COMMUNITY.
