19-yr-old secondary school girl returns a purse of money she found on her way home in Ogun State. The story was narrated by a teacher, Agbesanwa Oluwaseun, on his Facebook page. Read below

''MISS SAMSON OMOLABAKE, S.S.S 2 ART STUDENT OF MUSLIM HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR, SAGAMU, RETURNED BACK A PURSE FILLED WITH CASH AND ATM CARDS TO FCMB IN SAGAMU OGUN STATE: A GENUINE PRODUCT OF A NATION BUILDER.
A great event happened on May 16th,2017 in Remo Land specifically in Sagamu when Miss Samson Omolabake, Nineteen years of age, a student of Muslim High School Senior Secondary School 2 (Art) located at Lateefat Ogunkoya Avenue, Sabo was on her way home after the close of the school saw a purse filled with money and ATM cards on the road at ever busy road in Isale Oko around 2:25 pm. She picked it up and opened the purse and saw that there was money and ATM cards inside the purse. She discovered that the ATM is for First City Monument Bank( FCMB). She took the purse back immediately to the branch of the Bank which is at Akarigbo Road after First Bank Plc Sagamu.
When she got there, she told them what happened and requested that they should help her to trace the owner of the purse and should please call her so that she can hand over the purse over to the owner in person. The management did as she requested and called the owner to come over to the banking hall. The owner of the purse, Mrs Awofeso was shocked to hear what happened, she checked her money and confirmed that Eighteen thousand Naira inside the purse was intact and all her documents were intact.
This prompted the FCMB Branch Manager,Mr Omotara to write a letter of commendation on behalf of the Bank and brought it to her school on May 17th,2017. When the Principal of the School was contacted, Mr Oyenuga David, to ask him about who the student is in school, he said that, she is an indigent student and highly responsible. Mrs Yetunde Sodiya Isikalu the Vice Principal Academics stated that , Samson Omolabake is always neat and she has never be reported for any misbehaviour acts. Her Class Teacher, Mrs Ajilore said she is a responsible girl and ever ready to learn.
With this kind of student, we as teachers, the nation builders have a strong hope that if we can see these kind of faithful students, then our future is bright. Hope our students can learn from this girl act of honesty. She defied temptations and did the right thing. Indeed honesty is the best policy.

28-year-old Olaolu Akorede of Hg2filmworks, has been arrested by the operatives of the Area J Command, Ajah, Lagos for allegedly procuring an harmful herbal liquid for his lover, Halimat, to drink for the treatment of diabetics, which later allegedly terminated her pregnancy and damaged her fallopian tube.


His arrest followed a petition by Halimat through her counsel in the Chamber of Bislaw Legal Practitioners. Halimat, in the petition, said: “I met the suspect in New York, U.S, in November, 2016 while both of us were on vacation and began a relationship.


When I came back to Nigeria, I noticed that I was pregnant and I told him about the development and he was very happy on the phone. And he begged me to keep the pregnancy till he comes back to Nigeria for us to wed. .

He requested for a return ticket to come back to Nigeria and I spent N400k to purchase a return ticket for him. When he came back to Nigeria, he also collected the sum of N2.5m from me to prepare for our wedding. .

But instead, he went to Abeokuta, Ogun State, to meet a native doctor who prepared a herbal liquid for him which he claimed was for treatment of diabetics. He convinced me to drink it and because I did not suspect anything, I drank from it.


Unknown to me, it was to abort my pregnancy or to kill me. After drinking it, I began stooling blood and ended up in the hospital. Doctors later performed surgery on me and discovered that the herbal liquid had affected my unborn baby and damaged my Fallopian tube." .

Akorede, however, denied almost all the allegations, but admitted that he procured herbal liquid for her to treat her diabetics. He was arraigned before an Igbosere magistrate court on a 4 count charge of obtaining N2.5m under false pretense, procuring unknown herbal liquid to terminate pregnancy, maliciously administering poison which caused the death of an unborn baby.


Magistrate Mrs. O. O. Otitoju admitted him on bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum. He is to remain in Kirikiri prison till the bail conditions are met.
