Please has anyone who received Interview Letter (scheduled for January) BEFORE the partial travel restrictions been invited by the Lagos Consulate for Document Review? [Its supposed to be a two stage process...]

The date there is PD of April 2023 for those who are already documentarily qualified. and their PD is April 2023.
It's not DQ April 2023

No, take a proper look at the scheduling Tool Screenshot, it states clearly the Date is about when one is documentarily complete.
There are several persons here with 2022 Priority Date yet to receive IL.

The IV scheduling tool that shows they are attending to cc of April, 2023 is wrong! I'm in March ending of 2023 and I also know another person with a case complete on 28th of March, 2023, yet neither her nor me has been scheduled for interview! So, who are the ghosts they are scheduling?
At this stage, I can't transfer my case to anywhere because it's going to set me back if I do.

Ever since this tool was introduced in May, it has always shown that Lagos is processing March 2023 for Employment based cases. Since June, US President Trump has announced several policies against Nigeria as well as made threats so it won't be surprising if the processing of IVs gets even slower. Yet, the total number of DQ applicants on all the EB routes is less than the number of Tourist visa applicants typically interviewed within two days. Even if one Immigrant Visa processing Time is equivalent to 20 of B1/B2, the backlog could have been cleared if the intent was there.
However, EBs are likely to pass and not be denied visas so who knows if they want us to lose interest and withdraw our applications? That is somehow embedded in their 60-day notifications received over the last six months... Thus, one is not amazed at claims via the reporting tool that it is now processing DQ April 2023 while in reality some applicants DQ before that date are yet to receive interview letters.

May God intervene in our favour at His appointed time, I no dey stress again!

Not at the initial stage. Submit your Form or Petition, get acknowledgement receipt and wait. If approved they will ask you to send Certain documents i.e. copy of Passport Data Page, Birth certificate, Police Report, Marriage/Divorce Certs as applicable, Payment for Immigrant Visa receipt. If all checks well, you will be informed that you are Document Qualified and should wait for an Interview Letter if you are based outside USA otherwise, once your Priority Date becomes current, you may proceed with Adjustment of Status when already in the USA.
Visit the USCIS website for up-to-date information about the process and requirements.

For the umpteenth time, this morning I received the 60-day reminder that my case is DQ and
''...is awaiting an interview appointment. At this time, no further action is required. We appreciate your patience.
Your case will remain at NVC until an appointment is scheduled, at which time we will send it to the appropriate U.S. Embassy or Consulate General. We will notify the applicant, petitioner, and attorney (if applicable) when an appointment is scheduled.

The U.S. Embassy or Consulate tells NVC which dates they are holding interviews. NVC fills these appointments on a first-in, first-out basis and is unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled."

I really wonder why the Lagos Consulate decided to treat our Category this way; kept-in-wait for 23 months plus whereas if (and when) the Visa is granted, they expect one to promptly pack up and travel to the US within six months!

Their advice that 'The applicant should not make... other travel arrangements' may not be welcome in 2025.
May God make a way in this soon or in another emigration pathway, according to His will to make our joy full.

I recommend renewing your passport without reaching out to request an update, as doing so could potentially reset your Documentarily Qualified (DQ) date. Instead, bring the renewed passport to your interview and inform the Consular Officer directly. Alternatively, you can notify the document reviewing officer during your first visit to the consulate.

I am EB2NIW. Do not lose hope or get overly pessimistic on the possibility of us getting IL soon, I expect we would be scheduled for early next year with the new 2 visit system.
As per my question about renewed Passport, will appreciate input from NotsoNewMary, Adedammy009, TinFoil100 and others

I became DQ early 2023, my International Passport was to expire before the end of this year so I just renewed it.
Do I need to mail NVC the new Data Page or just send info to them on their website or simply take both the Old and New Passports along whenever scheduled for the Interview?

Hoping the IL will come before Police Clearance Certificate lapses early next year!
