I give a heartfelt, Spiritual Salute and Bow to every single sincere, thorough, patient ex-witness that has dropped material In some way or the other, that has been very helpful. Some of it very tough to share, some lengthy at personal costs. All who have contributed in one way or the other (some here on Nairaland from way back)
Big to small, down to that small YouTube, Reddit or website comment, very obscure out of the web. With little views, but still as helpful.

But many do not hit the very unique terrain of being a Jehovah's Witness in Nigeria. Some posters remarkably try and do, but there is not enough.
There needs to be something more, so this thread will be that.
Jehovah's witnesses have a long, powerful history in Nigeria. When i was in and a very studious follower, i noticed we were always number 4 or number 5 in Highest amount of publishers worldwide. And this has been so from the 70s 80s, 90s, way before I was active or born. More research just within JW sources shows this.

This is a very serious thread, a sensitive one.
Please try and be calm, balanced, honest, mature as you talk about a whole lot of things that there is to and will be to talked about. (This does not take away or mean you should diminish in the slightest bit your strong, Sincere, Serious emotions as you share them, not at all)
Former witnesses from neighboring and other African countries too can definitely come in. I know their situations and experiences are very Similar.

If you are not a former witness, it will be best if you don't comment.
This is something very complex, far far far out of your Psyche & UNIVERSE. Only former or current witnesses (PImO or fading) can flow along.
This is something very powerful, very deep, very sensitive, and very personal for many of us.
More so In a part of the world where help and resources in something like this is almost impossible to get.
These is serving as many things to many people.
I know some comments will definitely come in, If at all you comment, do so courteously, sensibly in any generic ways if need be.

Very few things come close to being raised as Jehovah's Witness, very very few things.
This Religion, being a Nigerian, growing up poor, Living in Lagos?? Very few Humans Can/will remain normal with a combination of all these factors.

This crazy, crazy psychological phenomenon, with Mad mad mad mad People!
I will explore it from the point of view of Growing up in Lagos, with Nigeria connected herein. When I travelled to other African countries, and even to the US at as point.
