The army is a big organisation with so many units like the medical corps, engineering corps, chaplaincy corps, cooks, drivers, teachers, guards, and every non combat group possible.

The chaplaincy is divided in Catholic corps, Protestants corps, and Islamic affairs corps. These are imams, reverend fathers, bishops and pastors. They officiate prayers in barracks and also carry out burial mass when an army officer dies.

Russia also have not been focused on bombarding kyiv like they do to other parts which they want to control. US even informed Russia of Biden visit ahead of time as US has little security forces in Ukraine and even arrived in a train after 8 hours journey and left in one too.
