Kudos Lola for speaking up! The reality is that most nigerian women, while growing up, were molested one way or d other by a nearby male, usually a family member or domestic help....either she's touched inappropriately or actually penetrated. The saddest thing about it is that our society makes it extremely difficult for many victims to speak out. When even her parents won't believe her, who does she turn to? The degree and frequency of molestation leaves long lasting scars that affect her well being and most esp her relationship with men. The unfortunate thing is that even now, the situation has only improved slightly....with the information out there, many parents are still carefree and negligent with their young daughters. But let's encourage ladies to speak out against these condemnable acts!
