Former Lagos governor Bola Tinubu is expected to receive N8.1 billion monthly from the 10% commission he receives through Alpha Beta Consulting a company he setup with Dapo Apara which he awarded a monopoly to collect the states taxes when he was governor in 2003.
According to a court affidavit before the Lagos High Court the former Managing Director of Alpha Beta,Dapo Apara, alleged Alpha Beta Consulting was collecting 10% commission of Lagos state taxes and he was schemed out of the company in 2014 by Tinubu, who gained 100% ownership. The duo have now decided an out of court settlement.
The presidential candidate is expected to receive a total of N97.2 billion naira in 2022 if Lagos meets the target set for internally generated revenue.

I will vote for Tinubu if he apologizes for cornerning 10% of Lagos taxes monthly and giving himself a multi-billion naira pension benefits and if he pledges to use it to help the less priviledged in Mushin and Ajegunle who desperately need it. |

Buccalcavity2: If it is a criminal case, I trust EFCC to still follow up. No padi padi to cover up criminality. Money Laundering, Siphoning state funds... are definitely State charges which cannot and must not be swept under the carpet, regardless of how they settle it out of court.

This man was chopping 10% of Lagos state taxes when he was governor through Alpha Beta Consulting and when he left office he still gave himself a multi-billionaire naira pension package in 2007.
According to a Lagos Pension Law approved by former governor Bola Tinubu in 2007, a former governor will enjoy the following benefits for life: Two houses, one in Lagos and another in Abuja. (Property experts estimates such a house in Lagos to cost N500 million and Abuja N700 million.)
Others are six brand new cars replaceable every three years; furniture allowance of 300 percent of annual salary to be paid every two years, and a close to N2.5 million as pension (about N30 million pension annually).
He will also enjoy security detail, free medicals including for his immediate families.
Other benefits are 10 percent house maintenance, 30 percent car maintenance, 10 percent entertainment, 20 percent utility, and several domestic staff.
