I got a popcorn maker from Cuisinart recently. Works quiet nice, it is a hot air one which does not need any oil. It is healthy because of this. Most of the kernels get popped also without any problems. Cuisinart CPM100 has worked well for me till now.

Has anyone tried food dehydrators for preservation of food from gardens? From what I have looked these also work well with all types of meat and fish and this can extend life of food to over 6 months.
Any experience on how it works when you rehydrate it with water, does it retain the freshness?
