Celebrity Coach José Mourinho the ‘Special One’ has added another first to his archives by leading AS Roma to win the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League trophy.


AS Roma defeated Feyenoord 1 -0 in the final Tirana. The lone winning goal came from Nicolo Zaniolo at the 32′.

This win meant that;

AS Roma has made history as the first club and José Mourinho first coach to win the UEFA Europa Conference League by club.

This is Roma first trophy in 14 years.

Roma is the first Italian club to win a continental trophy in 12 years. The last time an Italian club won a trophy was in 2010 when Internazionale coached byJosé Mourinho won the Champions League.

According to uefa.com, José Mourinho is the first coach to win all three current men’s UEFA club competitions – UEFA Champions League (Porto 2003/04, Inter 2009/10), UEFA Europa League (Manchester United 2016/17) and UEFA Europa Conference League (Roma 2021/22).

According to Wikipedia on EUFA ECL, “First contested in the 2021–22 season, the league serves as the bottom level of the existing Europa League competition, which was reduced from 48 to 32 teams in the group stage. The competition is primarily contested by teams from lower-ranked UEFA member associations. No teams qualify directly to the group stage, with 10 teams eliminated in the Europa League play-offs and the rest coming from the Europa Conference League qualifiers. The winners of the competition are awarded a position in the Europa League the following season, unless they qualify for the Champions League.”

AS Roma by virtue of their League position had already qualified for the 2022-23 Europa League.

Former Anambra State governor and PDP presidential aspirant Peter Obi, has resigned from the party. He has also pulled out from the party’s primary which comes up in three days time.

His resignation is coming so close to the primaries as it was obvious he wouldn’t be able to secure sufficient votes to win.

Although not mentioned in his letter of resignation submitted to the party headquarters in Abuja on Wednesday by the Director-General of Peter Obi Campaign Organisation, Dr Doyin Okupe, it was clear he was being dwarfed by political heavy weights such as Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former Senate President Bukola Saraki.

However, Daily Post quotes Doyin Okupe as saying: “All options are on the table. By the grace of Almighty God, Peter Obi will be on the ballot for the 2023 Presidency.”

This might have heightened speculations that the former governor would be vying to be Nigerians president come 2023 in a yet to be disclosed party.

This has become even more believable as social media has been awashed with photos of Peter Obi visit to a former PDP heavy weight and former governor of Kano State, Mallam Rabiu Kwankwaso. Kwankwaso also speculated to be vying for the presidency had dumped the PDP and former his own party or reviving an ancient party, New Nigeria People’s Party, NNPP.


Peter Obi in his resignation letter said:

It has been a great honour to contribute to nation-building efforts through our party. Unfortunately, recent developments within our party make it practically impossible to continue participating and making such constructive contributions.

“Our national challenges are deep-seated and require that we each make profound sacrifices towards rescuing our country. My commitment to rescuing Nigeria remains firm, even if the route differs.”

Dailypost.ng has reported on how a 36-year-old man identified as Kingsley Essien, sold his wife and his two-year-old son for a total of ₦2 million.
According to the report, the police in Ogun State said the husband had trafficked his wife to Mali for prostitution at the rate of ₦1.4million and sold their two-year-old son at the rate of ₦600,000.
It quoted the Ogun State police spokesman, Abimbola Oyeyemi as saying that Essien’s arrest followed a report lodged at the Agbara division by the wife, Bright Essien.


The woman was said to have reported to the police that her husband had sometime in October 2021, lied that he had secured a job for her in Bamako, Mali, and that he had in the past assisted many to secure a job in Mali.


Not suspecting any foul play, Bright said she agreed to go to Mali, but she got to the African country and discovered that she had been sold to a human trafficking cartel headed by a woman at the rate of N1,400,000.

“While in Mali, she was forced into prostitution, but she later found her way to the Nigerian embassy in Bamako where she was assisted back to Nigeria,” Oyeyemi said.

He added that as the wife returned to Nigeria, she could not find her son and this prompted her to report at the police station.

“Upon the report, the DPO of Agbara division, SP Abiodun Salau, detailed his detectives to go after the suspect, and he was eventually arrested.
“On interrogation, the suspect confessed to the commission of the crime, he confessed further that he sold the two-year-old son to somebody at the rate of six hundred thousand Naira,” Oyeyemi said.

The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Lanre Bankole, has directed that the man be moved to the Anti-human Trafficking and Child Labour Unit of the state CIID for investigation, directing police officers to trace and arrest the buyer of the stolen so as to recovered.

There is just nothing we won’t hear or see in this country. People can be evil. Some persons just feel when they marry a woman she has become their property forgetting the woman has a family and came from somewhere.

This issue should not just be treated quietly after now. The buyers should be arrested and shamed to deter others. Besides, wouldn’t it have been a smarter move to have traced this accomplices before displaying the guy in the media? Because they could just escape knowing the police is after them.

Presidential media aide Bashir Ahmad has describes the explosion that killed a yet to be identified number of school children in a mostly Southern dominated zone of Kqno State Nigeria located at Aba Road Sobongari as a gas explosion and not a bomb explosion as earlier reported online and by some major news outlets.

Tweeting via his handle @BashirAhmaad he said: “The unfortunate incident in Kano was a gas explosion not a bomb blast, the Kano State Police Commissioner has confirmed.”


However as the Vice President, Yemi Osibanjo and Kano State governor, Ganduje accompanied by the state’s Police Commissioner visits the scene, there has been a wide conflicting accounts as to the real cause of the blast. Many citizens from especially from the South believe its a bomb explosion and went further to say they saw a suicide bomber enter the school.

Vanguard quoted an unnamed eyewitness as telling Vanguard that they saw when a male suicide bomber detonated an explosive on the street and the explosion affected the building adjacent to the school.

Clement A. Oloyede tweeting with the handle @Lord_Clem who profile says he is a Beureau Chief with Daily Trust and claimed to be in the scene said:

“I was at the scene of the explosion in Sabongari, Kano to give live updates for my media organisation. Nothing at the scene pointed to a bomb blast. As such, I am inclined to agree with the police situation report which attributed the incident to a gas explosion”

Replying his tweet handle, K-Kay @NliamKennneth disagreed while providing a video taken at the scene showing injured and traumatised school children, he said:
“This is immediately after the Blast !!! There was no flames or smoke, just dust from the brick. The body of the suicide bomber was there on the floor! How can this be gas fro cry out loud. I was there live not hear say.”

It is too early to conclude. It is best for tye Police to be allowed to do its work of investigating crime. I trust should a panel be set up to investigate the matter and with forensic experts involvement the real cause will be unraveled.
It’s not a surprise that their will be misinformation at this critical time in the nation’s survival but truth will prevail at the end of the day.

We all have to keep emotions aside and the police and government shouldn’t waste time in attending to the crime and the persons responsible should be arrested and prosecuted.

A lady has revealed the true story behind the killing and burning of a sound engineer in a Lekki, Lagos State yesterday. The lady using her Twitter handle Ope K. King @Opetheking, revealed it was a case of jungle justice and not the initial story which profiled the Hausa ethnic group.

The killing of the sound engineer which further heightened tension and anger in a nation already mourning the killing and burning of a student of Sokoto State College of Education over an alleged blasphemy against the Prophet Muhammad.

I will just leave you to read the story yourself. My bones are too weak for long analysis and write ups on all these madness going on in Nigeria.

“Because, I’m seeing some comments about my brother-in-law being a Yahoo boy/ritualist and it’s really breaking my heart.

Yes, Uncle David was killed over N100… this is what really happened”

“The bikeman involved carried two passengers to drop near (Beer Barn) Admiralty way, Lekki Phase 1.

Uncle David was NOT one of these passengers.


These guys were some of the musicians that came to work at Beer Barn.

Bikeman was supposed to collect N400, the guys gave him N500.Bikeman said he didn’t have N100 change. The two guys didn’t have too.

So they gave the bikeman N300 assuring him that they are regulars on the street and will balance him whenever they see.”

“The men turned to leave and the bikeman grabbed one of the guy’s shirt, tearing it in the process.



The guy whose shirt the bikeman tore, turned and punched the bikeman which resulted into the bikeman fainting/knocked out of consciousness.All these while, Uncle David was inside Beer Barn. It was when people around (including the bikeman’s tribesmen) started dragging these two guys to wake up the bikeman, that was when Uncle David was called in.

My brother-in-law came to separate fight o. Prior to this, around last week, someone had slumped and died and people had suspected foul play. Saying the incident was linked to guys on a bike who could possibly be yahoo boys.So when this incident involving the bikeman occured, people automatically assumed that yahoo boys are at play again.

When Uncle David saw that there was an angry mob, and the situation had been blown out of proportion and accusations were flying, he ran and hid himself.A woman who didn’t know the origin of the whole issue, found Uncle David hiding and directed the mob to where he was, accusing him of being a ritualist.

They used stone to break his head.

They beat him. Stripped him naked and eventually set him on fire.This is what happened.

This is the truth.

Uncle David was a reputable human being.

He wasn’t dragging N100 with a bikeman. He was called in to separate the fight.

The two guys involved were beaten almost to death and are now in critical condition.”

Please let’s say No to jungle justice.

Anyone who calls my brother-in-law a ritualist again will meet with a fate 10x worse.

Don’t throw accusations without evidence. If you don’t know the whole story, don’t intervene.

No one’s life is in your hand.You have no right to slap, hit, or maim someone even if you caught them in a crime. Drag them to the police!

Why would you kill someone?!


Why should one of the kindest souls die based on sheer savagery, animalistic tendencies, and illiterate paranoia?

I am sad.His wife, kids, family, friends, colleagues…everyone is mourning and heartbroken because some people chose to be wicked and animals.

Northern men made up most of this angry mob. Now their bikeman is alive and well.So far, 15 people have been arrested including the unfortunate woman who showed the mob where my brother-in-law was hiding.

This is the same Nigeria we fought against police brutality and called for end end of profiling of youths by policemen but here is a youth and a sound engineer hustling to provide for his family wasted by same youths.

An alumni member of Wellspring University Edo State identified the Sarah Vincent Odibo has been reported to have resurrected from the dead in a mortuary in lagos few hours after doctors confirmed her dead.


Friends of the now resurrected Sarah had posted the sad news of her passing yesterday on their WhatsApp statuses only to receive the joyous news of her come back to life.


Sarah who lost her father 2 years ago in May 2020 was said to have died of shock of the news of the death of her mother three days ago.

Could She Have Been Clinically Dead?
There has been many stories of people who died and cane back to life and some of these have told story of a world outside of ours and their encounters with supernatural beings.

I haven’t heard from Sarah herself but sure this is a complex topic so I did some research. I came about Clinical death, biological death, figurative death and vegetative death.

I am not an expert on this field but would just produce some excerpts from my limited research.

In one recent case, a woman was erroneously declared dead after having a heart attack and wound up freezing to death in a body bag in the morgue. Smithsonia Magazine while summarising its discussion on the issue said:“In summary, no heartbeat + no breathing + no brain activity = clinical death, but it does not necessarily spell Death. Clinical death is treated as a medical emergency, with CPR and the like following. Only when a physician calls off the efforts and throws in the towel can brain or biological death, eventually followed by legal death, be declared. In the U.S., this marks the removal of “personhood” from the deceased’s body.“

Wikipedia in its reference said:”Clinical death is the medical term for cessation of blood circulation and breathing, the two criteria necessary to sustain the lives of human beings and of many other organisms.[1] It occurs when the heart stops beating in a regular rhythm, a condition called cardiac arrest. It has always been obvious something is wrong with our health system that are quick to declare people dead and sentence them to the morgue. Many persons have been buried alive but however, we move. Nigeria might probably still be in the stone age of medical science.
