1. Israel and America entered into alliance in 1978. That was the year America started giving Israel financial and military aid and Israel in return started supporting America with innoventions, technology and intelligence.
2. Israel gained independence in 1948, 30 years before they entered into alliance with the Americans
3. The whole Arab nations ganged up to fight Israel in 1948 and Israel without America defeated all of them.
3. The Suez war (1958) with Egypt. Israel won without America in the equation
4. The 6 days war (1967). The whole Arab again fought Israel and in Just 6 days, Israel defeated all of them. This is without any weapon coming out from America or Europe to Israel.
5. War of Attrition (1970). Again Israel defeated Egypt all alone.
6. Yom Kippur war (1973). Again Israel defeated Egypt and Syria all alone.

It was in 1978 that Israel decided to enter into alliance with US for financial and military support. And the reason is simple, wars are expensive and building high quality military arsenals are very expensive. Israel is not just a small country but a tiny one at that. They don’t have that financial capability to develop such weaponry but they have they innoventions and technology to develop huge arsenals. No country can even developed all weaponry not even Russia or China. Secondly, US don’t want Israel to be close to Russia. Bc Israel and Russia has good relationship before which include purchase of military weapons from Russia. So US has no option than to accept such alliance. US can never do anything that is not of her interest including alliance with Israel or Saudi Arabia.
