Please, I don't know what's wrong with my memory card. Sometimes, my phone will switch off itself and when I switch it on, it'll indicate "damaged SD Card" on my notification bar and then it'll b asking me to format d memory card. But when I put d memory card in my system, it'll work properly. This has happened many times. Plz, what could b responsible 4 this and What's d solution? Thanks.

849mb na sp flashtool method now...... check page 28 of this thread u go see the link for 670mb

if its 670mb in file size....

then its like flashing a custom ROM

boot into recovery
Wipe data/factory set
Wipe cache

Go to advanced
Wipe dalvik cache
Wipe battery stats

Then go back and choose install zip from sdcard

locate the KitKat. zip file

Then choose am and follow on screen instructions

after flashing reboot

booting go take up to 5mins

Thanks. I will try custom ROM some day, using CWM recovery. I do hope there is no danger in trying via the CWM recovery, even for the non-compatible P2 phones.

na cwm be the way to flash custom ROMs... But in order to be safe do a backup

that's not what am saying but if you look at it from my perspective.... Most custom ROMs are built in the line of Walton primo not gionee

It wil nt boot to recovery after holding vol+ and power(instead d boot logo kip blinking continuously).

It wont charge either,after pluging the charger,instead of charging it wil kip blinking d tecno logo of d flashed rom.

Problem Caused by:
i flashed "Flex v1 By Emmy1 P5" rom. The problems starts after rebooting d phone

Ive the stock rom backup,the phone is rooted and cwm is ported...

Bros, I forgot to show you one thing. Below is the screenshot of my system release Date. My friend's own reads an earlier date but has 510mb phone storage. Is my phone the old type, the date notwithstanding?

I don't know how gionee did it but 494mb storage they carry custom ROMs/older versions of gionee

gionee amigo ui doesn't come with a browser... U have to install one yourself


Go to playstore and download "Aosp browser",install am and move to system

Check my ss
You can now see browser in my app drawer

kinguser is also a superuser but you can switch to supersu if you wish

OTA means Over The Air ....update over the air
