pls! i just bought this gionee m2 and i downloaded the mobile uncle tool so that i will be able to change my imei but i couldnt cos I HAVE ENGINEER MODE (ANDROID) on the my phone instead of ENGINEER MODE(MTK) as illustrated, abeg how i go fit change mine o cos i there is no way to go to the next step

If u have cwm....boot into recovery

Wipe data
Wipe cache

Go to advanced
Wipe dalvik cache
Wipe battery stats

Then go back and

Choose install zip from sdcard

Then choose the ROM.zip file

After flashing
Phone will boot and will take up to five minutes

It might be a bug with d KitKat rom. I've downgraded back to d stock jellybean rom today after I discovered a bug with internet connectivity. The KitKat rom hardly connects to internet wen network is poor unlike jellybean. I discovered this because my sister's P4 connects to internet faster than mine. And she's on d stock jellybean rom. My internet connection got faster wen I went back to jellybean. However, u may not notice dis bug if network is always stable in ur location.

not having any bug on my KitKat..... Its called stock KitKat because it is from gionee and expect absolutely no bug

if u r rooted

download root explorer,
then go to

system/vendor/operator/app

u will find whatsapp there
delete it and reboot

install whatsapp+ again.

yes sir, not to worry i already have a 10,000mah powerbank, am well prepared! plus am not a gamer, just a surfer! the way people have condemned the phone before now as iron, hot plate,fake gorilla glass etc, i think it all depend on usage,i used a gionee p2 before now that i gave out, it had its own issues but i did not come to nairaland telling people not to buy it because of my observation, just review the phone (infinix zero) based on your honest user experience and don't exaggerate things just because you want to discourage other people, that is why i love ArchFrelancer's review, he said it just the way it is from his user experience

This question must have been over-flogged but please kindly answer it once more.. How do I generate imei number... My last phone I used before this M2, someone generated it for me via whatsapp and walked me through the procedure till I successfully changed it but I had to part with almost N1000 mtn airtime... But this time I want to do it by myself from start to finish.

I didn't generate any imei I just copied from a BlackBerry phone

flip case is available for less than 500 - customised for p4. although I opted for the universal type that was fully covered because that of p4 has a opening exposing a portion of the screen.

Finally joined the P4 train yesterday and I must confess, I'm not disappointed at all.

rooted, cwm ported but still cruising stock jelly bean rom for now.

download super su from playstore and grant it super user access.... then update the su binary and reboot then you can delete ur king user and make super user a system app
